Not sure if you were serious but I started wearing ear plugs at concerts a few years ago because they seem to be getting progressively louder or me getting older is bothering me. I highly recommend these, you hear the music clearly but it prevents damage. They aren't as noticeable either, I find myself wearing them in bars sometimes.

id assume its a combination of getting older and them getting louder, our bodies break down. we cant listen to that loud music forever.

i was wearing earplugs....
after my last high on fire show, i knew that not wearing earplugs would be a bad idea...i bought some specifically for this show.
they're the loudest show i've been to in recent memory...

wow, and you still had problems with your ears? I don't know how people tolerate that discomfort/pain without ear plugs.

side note,
I just ordered a picture for my friend. I got one similar at the Thirteenth Floor Gallery booth at Comic Con.

Either of you guys actually post videos of your rides? I have the silver which works okay, so long as it's not too dark out. I'm interested in the + model mostly for the improved low light performance. Also, where do you mount the camera to the bike?

I haven't used the black yet, I just ordered it. I previously purchased the Silver + and I was very disapointed. I will post a video once i get it going.
I ordered a few knock off mounts from amazon, very slow shipping from china but good quality. I got a headset mount & a handlebar mount.

I have no idea, some people were posting that the sandisk cards run hot and then die after a couple of weeks. I had the samsung card and it wouldn't record anything longer than 10 minutes.

As far as I can tell, its all a crap shoot. Report back here with what you find out though. I've only tested the transcend 32gb card once and it worked for me, so I bought a second.

I recorded a few of my commutes but they were with the samsung card and they didn't work out. I'll be going out today on the mtb, so hope to get some nice video.

I bought the helmet mount for use with a vented helmet, it has the straps. For my commuting videos, I just wrapped that around bars/stem and tightened as much as possible. I need to ask Johnny what he thinks of his k-edge mount.

Hey Johnny, how do you like the K-edge mount?

Was that video recorded while using it? I was thinking I'd go with the helmet cam for mtb, but it doesn't look like the video is too bumpy with the mount. I might have to pick one of those up.

Today I put in 50 miles in this slop, new bibs were waiting for me when I got back. Now have the trainer tire back on and setup so I can get some pedal time in early tomorrow morning.

i love it....it was mounted to my cross bike in the video above.
very stable...that road in the video is hella rough, and it did a great job....i've never thought i was gonna break a fork before, but right around the 2:30+ mark, i was questioning the strength of a carbon steerer.....

I also record in 720 (at 60fps, feels smoother than 30) and here is a typical day for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO8Qy...ature=youtu.be
How did your footage with the silver compare? Was it failing with image stabilization?

For bike mounts I have tried a few now - I currently am using the gopro handlebar mount, but I've mounted it to the head tube instead. I just cut up a tube to protect the paint a bit, seems to be okay. The advantage is that I get a slightly more stable view once I disengaged from the handlebars.

i never owned the silver...
the girl manages a northface store, so i get a pretty sweet hookup on gopro stuff....i've got the lcd bacpac, the battery bacpac and the camera.
the k-edge is the nicest bike mount out there imo.....

You jerks are making me want to get a gopro, been wanting one for a year or so but keep talking myself out of it.

Also, high on fire is coming in December and I can't wait to see Matt Pike in all his shirtless glory.
