Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Now I've got to ride home @ 5:00 p.m.

If the traffic doesn't kill me, the smoke will.

Adios.

Quite plainly I have never seen a farmer's market that was worth the aggravation of remembering when it was open and then getting there. Not to mention cleaning your shoes after getting back home. And I have been to quite a few. If I am speaking too broadly, well that's no crime. And at least you know how I feel about it.

We buy a lot of Texas-grown fresh produce at our excellent supermarkets. How it is all inferior to what you might get at a farmers' market is a mystery to me.

Done.

My recipe BTW:

1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/8 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/4 cup honey
3/8 cup mayonnaise (can be reduced fat of the 3.5-5.0% variety)
Cayenne pepper (optional). Just a pinch.

Mix well.

Made with the reduced fat mayo, this comes out around 2% fat. Not too shabby.

You could have asked me.

Not all, that's for sure. But not none either.

Don't know if anyone watches Planet Earth, but the new series has debuted and there's a scene where a series of iguanas try to escape some snakes. If you don't like snakes, it is literally the stuff nightmares are made of. Absolutely stunning footage, though.

I almost never eat full portions anymore. I went out for BBQ lunch with my visiting sister today, and ate like 3 bites of the sandwich (I'm sick and have no appetite, not going to pig out). Still, I knew when ordering that thing that I'd end up with at least 2, if not 3 meals from it. Leftovers FTW.

This sort of thing certainly happens - I remember hanging out here a lot more before AG.
