Wow, that's a pretty badass picture. If that were me I would frame it and hang it over a fireplace.

^^^ Looks like a beautiful ride.
Last lap of the P1/2/3 liberty crit, 3/4 mile to go, I'm 6th from the left in blue/white. It was my 2nd race of the day, got swarmed in turn 3 but I was hurtin and on the verge of cramping for the last 6 laps, finished mid pack. Iggy Silva (Trek-Livestrong) won, there was an olympian, world track champion and several other local pro's in there.

You might want to rotate it a little bit. The perspective looks like you're suffering along at 6 mph on a flat road.

I had to contest the results because they thought my "818" was a "816" because I had the thing too damn low. My employer was the title sponsor for the event. Since I was rocking a company jersey, they chuckled and gave me a pretty hard time. Bought some spray-on adhesive that afternoon.
Second by this much. At least I beat the tree-trunk guy in green.

Good close race. It looks like you did a good bike throw too, based on helmet and shoe position.
Remember that you need to use pins in USAC races. You can use other things too, but you need pins.
I like using a lot of pins. Kind of a joke at first, but it seems if I drop below 10 or so pins, I don't do well in the race. So now I use a lot of pins.

Four lap ITT of the Phillip Island Grand Prix race track last Saturday - coming into the finish. Then followed up with a 17 lap road race of the circuit in the afternoon...

Is the guy that beat you the guy in the white jersey? Or someone else?

Yeah, I use the safety pins, so I'm legal. I'm not really excited about accidentally sticking myself so I go with the just the four corners (there's suffering, and then there's jabbing your own finger with a pin).
[edit]I don't know who the guy in white is. Dude in Green and white, with "Trek" on his shoulders got 4th. First and Third places are out of the frame to my left and right.[/edit]
The lesson to draw from this awesome thread is: race an ITT, a hill climb, or go hard off the front. Any one of those will take care of the suffering, and it's way easier for a photographer to lock onto a solo rider/attacker.

Looking to race on Sunday at Dromana as long as the forecast of hail doesn't look like coming true!
