I need to order a couple chains. I keep a rotation ready waxed so I can batch clean/wax when time.
At same time, I thought about ordering some cable housing for the TT bike since I did that recent update. That stem has provisions for cable routing. I could re-use, but think existing is 1/2" too short.
Either way, know of a brand that readily has a known good part # available in color GOLD? I found the Jagwire gold color only on an obscure site in an old part #. Shimano/SRAM appears like no. Some weird Japanese brand seems to get bad durability reviews.
Not necessary, but if a place has it that also has KMC gold chains.......I'd save on shipping and stuff.

I also have the 70 oz model which doesn't have pockets and just carries water, (it does have a net). It isn't too bad and when it's empty I hardly notice it. I'm told by friends that the new designs are better than the older ones, but all my stuff is old. I wouldn't wear one on the road except for the pandemic causing water sources to be turned off plus I don't want to go into stores if I can avoid it.

I have a 100 oz expandable pack which I use for mountain biking because I carry a bunch of crap and don't use a seat bag or a bottle cage. It's obnoxious but I can't do without it on long mtb rides.

A couple friends bought those low mounted handle bar bags and they carry an extra bottle in there (or 2 small ones) but I don't like having the weight up there and the bar bags I have take away hand space.

Depending on storms, combo road and cross team meetup tonight. Farting around warmup on road, so we can keep out distance. Then back to the cyclocross track in town to practice.
I'm brining my DIY barriers in case after the "pandemic time trial" they didn't leave out the nice barriers.

Wife and I did a nice hilly ride around COS (slow - I'll blame it on altitude rather than weight).
Those deer though are a hazard. We must have passed 5-6 mini heard of 3-4 eating the locals yards. They dart out in front of cars, bikes all the time. They are like squirrels or rabbits but not as smart. We are coming down a 3% grade maybe doing 30 and I see one right next to the road and have to slow to 10mph.
But I didn't know about Fiesta Island. Been there many times - me, wife and junior.

Stop signs on Fiesta??? WTF... I can't image that is going to go over well with the cycling community. Hermes were they out there during your TTT work recently?

On a separate note... We got married!!! Last Wednesday. Took the rest of the week off to visit Napa valley and do some (socially distant) tasting and fine dining. Our original wedding date was scheduled for 5/9/20 and it was supposed to be a big bash with family and some friends. Needless to say, it didn't happen. So a courthouse marriage isn't what we had envisioned, but we are happy to move this to the next level, and start thinking about family!!!

They were up yesterday but I did not even see the first two at the crossover intersection until the second lap and the yield signs are still up.
The unleashed dogs are a problem and many owners have multiple dogs so dogs run together and may or may not be near the owner They can be in weeds on the side of the road and just pop out. That is not going to end well.
Last year, Fiesta was sold to developers and it is a matter of time until we lose it completely. It is unclear what the motivation for and who installed the stop signs and set the loose dog policy is other than to make Fiesta more friendly to walkers and dog owners at the expense of cyclists.
For those unfamiliar with the Mission Bay complex, Fiesta Island is in the middle of Mission Bay and is used by campers, boaters, cyclists, water skiers, kite surfing, runners, triathletes and drug dealers. There is a specific part of the island dedicated to dog owners however, due to the pandemic, the island is closed to car traffic. Hence, it is too far for the dog owners to walk (not in my opinion) to their designated area.
Maybe it all goes away when cars are back on the island.

I do not remember the sign on the front straight specifically allowing loose dogs. In the past, dog owners would let their dogs run in the sand but kept them under close observation for fear of getting hit by a car.

Our family own a dog, but we are not "those people" trying to take over the planet with our furry friend. Dogs have their places, but I feel like off leash near a road of any kind is asking for problems. Bikes, cars, otherwise.
It wasn't enough that there are huge fields most places but it feels like people want it off leash everywhere these days. I've been on runs on the greenway while kids ride bikes and kids almost hit an off leash dog. That owner got an earful (breaking law here). Then they act all bewildered and like they're the victim.
I don't know what's happened with dog culture in the last 20 years, but it isn't what I grew up with whatsoever. Fido never went to Home Depot, the brewery, the grocery, the restaurant, the plane whenever I was growing up.

Even before Covid we were not big fans of having people in our house to do work. They rarely do it as well as we'd like, and it's just uncomfortable having someone you don't know working in your house for a while.
But now, my anxiety is through the roof. We have a roofing company coming back to fix stuff they did wrong 9 months ago that I just found (they didn't actually put collars or attach the duct to any of the roof vents, they just put vents on the roof and called it a day), a company we fought with about other things they screwed up and eventually had to settle with just before involving lawyers. And now I have to babysit them, make sure they do what they're supposed to, make sure they wear their mask, I have to wipe down whatever they touch after they leave.
