I will take polite exception to this. The guy has committed assault with a deadly weapon (indeed, one modified intentionally for that type of assault, therefore premeditated). Incarcerated, fined, restitution paid, and violent offender status are all reasonable....

No need for name calling or disparaging remarks. And, no, a little methane is much more benign than diesel smoke. I'm likely your contemporary, if not your senior, and my scientific/medical knowledge is sufficient to call bravo sierra on your statement. Also savvy enough to see the tactics of gas powered apologists. Hopefully you are not really one and just fell into the dominant paradigm.

I see no way that the potato wouldn't just pop out when the pressure starts to build.

Yup it’s true. Don’t doubt redneck science the aquanet potato gun is formidable lol. Hard potatoes not fresh soft ones ya got to age the potato . The key is don’t be behind the exhaust pipe if it fails then there is a flying potato around 700 mph. Glass pack damage and angry Bubba going Rambo. There is a reason the potato is key to human survival.

Your position is, to put it mildly, ludicrous.

You are the one smelling your Aunt Emma's farts and you are saying others are odd, I would say you little snowflakes are much more odd. "oh no the people on a bike forum jokingly want to hurt that poor man blasting diesel smoke in people's faces intentionally for riding bikes."
Also I find it funny you are kind of defending this dude even after you stated that you need to carry an inhaler because of this stuff? It is just such a meltable moment and so baffling. The smoke makes you sick yet somehow it is safe, do you not hear yourself or have those fumes gone to your head? LOL

I’m going to go coal rolling on my 3 cylinder diesel tractor. I have done that before only because my foot slipped off the clutch .

I was driving an experimental engine once, a V-6 two-stage turbo affair that some years later found its way into a certain imported brand, and accidentally dumped an enormous cloud of smoke just as I passed the corporate hq. It should have been clean burning, but It was indeed an experimental engine with an immature control system. Evidently I'd spooled up one or both turbos then lifted. The black cloud was a block long and thick. I parked that sucker, went back to my cube, and waited to be fired. Fortunately didn't happen.

Regardless of any legal issues, environmental or criminal... The act just shows how immature the driver is. Yes, when I was 15 years old I might have thought it was funny without any prescience of mind as to what I was actually doing and the potential consequences.

I like the lime green hair Slayer girl that runs the cash register at one of the local convenience stores. She scares the heck out of the uptight church ladies it is funny. I guess those people haven’t been woke up lol. Some days she has on Iron Maiden or some black metal band’s T shirt. Body piercings and tattoos makes her more menacing lol. Bubba and Bubbette freak out on her and coal roll in the parking lot in protest.

Is rolling coal even illegal in many states? I think there are ordinances or laws in a few states but not too many....
Still say the driver is a jerk but I cannot imagine the penalty being more than a citation, meaning no crime was committed. Nuking him seems not to fit the "crime"
I read that the fine is $100 in Colorado and $500 in Mary land.
I probably get coal rolled on my once or twice a month. It is easy to deal with.

Most things in life are. I look at rolling coal as a gateway offense to even worse buttonholery such as edging or brushing or just a good old fashioned sideswipe.
I bet you get sideswiped a couple of times a month too. I hope your inhaler helps then also.

And if someone is injured, it becomes a jail-able offense.
Those little fines are probably for vehicle modifications - easy to prove and ticket.

Unfortunately ‘woke’ has been adopted as a term of derision by some who just want to change the word's connotation so it will become part of a culture issues war to attract those who just don’t have the intelligence to have the real understanding of that words black history use or more importantly don’t have the emotional intelligence to have empathy. To me, 'woke' now sometimes just gives a name to an ignorance that you can attach to those feelings that enables you to dismiss things much like GhostRider is doing in the usual very uniformed way.
