I'm surprised that those of you in snow country haven't mentioned the bike and ski shops. I've run across a couple over the years, Tahoe City and Mammoth I believe, but can't remember the name of either. A good combination for staying busy most of the year but probably tough to finance the overlapping seasonal inventory.

When I was a kid we had "Work & Sport" lawn equipment and bikes. Sponsored a number of youth softball teams as well.

Back in the days of my youth, many bike shops also repaired lawnmowers, even in large cities. In fact, I worked for a Schwinn distributor and we carried many lawnmower parts along with all the authorized Schwinn bikes and parts. Schwinn wanted these small shops to dump their lawnmowers and become exclusively bicycle dealers, but many hung on. I suppose the two went together in some ways, for when the mowing season died out in the fall, people went Christmas shopping for bicycles. It didn't make so much sense in the summers, however, because the bikes and mowers all were getting sold and serviced at the same time.
Made sense if you needed some extra carbs there.
The shop always protected their turf.
I'm here all week. Grassy ass.

My Trek 414 came from a shop that sold bikes and cross country ski stuff. Not such an odd pairing though.

I cannot remember of the bike shop trade publication we used to get in the mid-1980s, but there was definitely a bike/lawn mower crossover thing going on in the ads in there. Murray being a prime example.

Pete's Cycles was a chain of motorcycle and Schwinn bike dealers, including a couple of locations in New Haven, Connecticut. During the early '70's bike boom, a local guy decided to compete by naming his shop "Only Bikes." After the bike boom subsided, I noticed the shop's name had changed from "Only Bikes" to "Only Bikes and Skis."

Bikes and bait. I repped in NC decades ago and EJW in Morehead City sold fishing gear and bike stuff and yes, live bait. Not to name that place Bikes and Bait was a crime.
Locks and bikes were a thing in the state back then and might still be. Motorcycles and bicycles could be found together also.
Before that I worked at Ski Rack in Burlington VT and that place was cycling in the summer and XC ski stuff in the winter, not an uncommon combo in the region.
Angle Lake Cyclery in the Tacoma area sold Klepper folding kayaks and other water gear.

Aurora Cycle shop in Seattle was a combination bicycle and motorcycle shop. I purchased my Raleigh Supercourse MK 2 there shortly after HS graduation in 1974. I purchased a Suzuki GS650 Katana there in 1983. My HS buddy and I were always looking in to look at the Paramounts and Raleigh Pro's. I remember the paramounts being $600+ and the Raleighs being under $600. My buddy was going to purchase a black Paramount track bike, have a single freewheel and brake installed. When he showed with the cash, it was gone.
They had some museum bikes, one I remember was shaft drive but still had wood rims. By the time I got the Suzuki in 1983, the motorcycle business had separated from the bicycles and were 2 different businesses. All they had to do was wall off the big doorway between the 2 sales areas.

Westbury, NY - Vito's Barber Shop. There's a bit of history from framebuilder Jamie Swan here: https://jamieswan.net/history/
"Vito Perucci was a barber who also fixed bikes. He had a racing club, the Nassau Wheelman, and he promoted races."
He also mentions a bike & luggage shop and a bike and mower shop. I was friends with the fellow that bought the shop from Vito, but it didn't last long.

Only one i can think of is fictional, and not cycling-related, thought definitely of the C&V period.
Bob Newhart, back when his TV days only included variety shows that had a taste for great humorists, had a stand-up comedy routine about the "Grace L. Ferguson Airline and Stormdoor Company."

The Spoke and Note is a very cool bike and music shop in the small town of Windsor Nova Scotia. Guitar and bike sales and repairs, they host some pretty cool bands and podcasts on Sunday nights. Stephen Fearing from the Rodeo Kings was there two weeks ago.

My biz partner and I had an opportunity to take over a bike store. His idea was that we could run it as a bike store and computer repair store. Then I found out he bought high and sold low, and he agreed maybe retail wasn't likely to be a success for us. I have no complaints about him as a partner ... we just had to pick the right niche for us.

This one never came to fruition. My brother wanted to open a business and couldn't decide on a bike shop or a music store. So I told him to make it a combo bike-music store and name it "The Minstrel Cycle".
BTW. He ended up opening a bike shop and was doing great until he got burnt out and closed up.

It's been around for several years now but here in Santa Rosa, CA there's Trail House, which is a combination bike repair shop and pub. They've got all sorts of beers on tap, plus coffee and several different food offerings. The bike shop side is service only and they have at least a dozen super cool 80's and 90's high end mountain bikes like Klein, Ibis, Gary Fisher, GT, Trek, Yeti, etc. hanging on the walls and ceiling. Always fun to gaze up at them while waiting in line for a beer.
It's the popular spot for mountain bikers to stop after a ride up in Annadel state park. I go there regularly after long runs up in those hills.
It's owned by the same folks who own a couple other bike shops in town so even if they don't exactly make money on the place, it's likely to stay around. Their two other shops are extremely popular in bring in good revenue.

There was Grant P.'s wacky "Bike, Book, and Hatchet" store.
Off topic, but for many years El Cajon, CA had "Hiram's Guns & Liquor." A trip there was a 21st birthday tradition in East County, San Diego. The busines was sold in the late 90s / early 2000s and the new owners had to split the two stores.

Great memories. I bought a Vespa from Wayne, the mechanic at Aurora Cycle and Mower--on the mower side in about 1983. I remember the motorcycle part across the street, but my memories of the bike shop are foggy. (I was devoted to Pine St. and Colin/NW Cycle)
back then REI was a little unusual: selling all of the camping/backpacking/hiking/mountaineering gear, plus the bike shop in the weird, sprawling Capitol Hill store.
In Seattle we still have Alpine Hut selling ski and bike
and now Peloton, the restaurant bike shop

Another OT item - years ago I remember passing a place on one of the rural highways from Portland to the Oregon coast that advertised something like chainsaw sharpening and video rental. “Hey Merle! I’ll pick up the Stihl when I return Fried Green Tomatoes.”

Just looked that up, hadn't seen it before. Looks like a fun place! I'll check it out next time I'm in Seattle.
My daughter and I were in Salinas CA a while back and saw a store that sold trophies and metal detectors, we chuckled about stores like these that seem to flow more out of the owner's varied interests & hobbies than out of business synergies.
