1978 Raleigh SBDU 753, 58.5. Currently $900. Pickup only in Pasadena.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/RALEIGH-PRO...a/353015990754

Somebody please buy it, if only to save that poor derailleur return spring:

Raleigh Professional - $100

Not eBay of Craigslist, but still a good price for what looks like a great bike. Too bad it's too big for me.

Rare Miele in the south...

https://charleston.craigslist.org/bi...096404177.html
1989 Miele 650 mtb. 19” Frame is too small for me. All original, except tires, in excellent condition. Shimano Mountain LX drivetrain, shifters, brakes and hubs. Araya RM-20 wheelset. Beautifully lugged Tange Infinty chromoly frame, handmade and hand painted in Canada. A few nicks here and there and some obvious wear from riding and being over 30yrs old, but rides excellent. Pretty rare. $150

Well, if the Dave Scott Ironman is too "mainstream" for you, there's always the Raleigh Technium "homage" to it (and $250 seems fine for a Cyclone-equipped Technium in any case)

Well, if it were there or here it might get a look, of course its silver just like the two giants I have, one of my not favorite colors. It would have to be half the ask AND I would have to have the $$$ as well, at 26.5 it may actually be too big, we'll probably never know.

Thanks for being a good sport about it. I have my eye "potentially" on another LA-sourced gem (because looking in far away lands is always a good idea...), but am waiting to see how a potential bike sale tomorrow goes.

Anytime, you know I'm always game for whatever tomfoolery you can come up with, were it another Merz, Strawberry or DiNucci, there would be a lot of hand wringing going on, as well as finance finagling.

KUWAHARA - $125 (Santa Cruz, CA)

I'm brand new to thinking about vintage bikes and dont know too much, so apologies if this one is lame. Suggestions appreciated on learning the ways...

MOUNTAIN BIKE VINTAGE KUWAHARA - $125

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/bik...089127873.html

I am the original owner of this MTB that I purchased in 1990. I love it but time to part ways.

It is a stylish and highly capable bike perfect cruising local bike paths or going off-road.

These superior quality Japanese bikes built in the early days of mountain biking are highly sought after by collectors.

Bike features include:
- High end 1989 Kuwahara Sierra bike hand made in Japan
- Triple butted Chromoly Tange steel frame
- Shimano Deore Mountain drive train

Bike has been well cared for and is in decent condition. Had a full tune up three years ago then garaged - all components including bottom bracket, gears and brakes are functioning great.

It does need new tires.
