Dude, it blew over here at the adults table like hours ago. B and shovel went to a counselor and got it all sorted out, I said my peace about the other place, we've all moved on. If there's still drama, look at where it is happening.

I think it would be fun to do some day but I'm going to wait until the pop culture stuff catches up with my age. I don't get most of the references to stuff from before the 90's. I tend to do very well on the science questions for some reason, and I always nail the literature questions. I suck at geography and history though.
Yeah I hate how dated Jeopardy is, they really do need to catch up...

Although they'll never, ever, have enough stupid ****ing Shakespeare clues on that damn show... between the Bible, Shakespeare, and English Lit, going from that show you'd think that the only literature in the last 5,000 years came out of either the UK or the US.

Anyway, I hate Shakespeare, all that mess is beyond lame.

Still, we watch the show every night in our household.

I hate the Bible and Shakespeare stuff too. If I was gonna go on Jeopardy I'd have to do a lot of studying of classic lit.

I'd figured Watson was gonna destroy them, based on watching his sparring matches and stuff. He started off super strong, but is fading a bit.

One thing that hurt him a lot is that he doesn't take into account other people's answers (because he can't hear).

Sorry, forgot about the time zones. They only play the first part, Jeopardy. Double and Final are tomorrow. Then I assume another full game on Wednesday.

I couldn't stop smiling though, watching him answer. It's just incredibly impressive. Being an electrical engineer, having dabbled in programming, I realize how incredibly difficult it is to parse something like a Jeopardy clue, let alone find the answer.

The little 'thinking' bar they show underneath is cool, to see what words are associated with what he's thinking. The wrong answers are really interesting too.

Cash Cab is ok. Jeopardy is still the king. I like "Who wants to be a millionaire" although the new format is annoying. Jeopardy is great because the questions (answers?) are very clever, cover everything, and you get to watch a TON of questions per show. They don't screw around. Every other quiz show has 10 questions and takes three minutes to answer each one.

Jeopardy crams a bunch of clues into each episode.

Agreed, the speed is my favorite thing about it. I love the wordplay questions. I ALWAYS run the board on those categories.

Some of the clues/answers in Jeopardy are easy for computers, however: find a word that is eight letters long and has "ez" in it, for example.

I wonder if they did away with clues like that for this edition? Or are they using the "regular" clues?

Ygduf, that made me LOL

Watson was really good with the Beatles questions, and surprisingly terrible at the decades.

Bravo Sub...Now turn off the computer and be with them. One more thing, stay up late and sleep in. Those slow mornings are good for a marriage.

My valentine is 5000 miles away and we are missing each other. Cant wait for a slow morning of love.

Watching "Gold Rush: Alaska". These guys are such idiots. It's a miracle that none of them are dead. OSHA would have a field day with them. They're just such idiots, and have no idea what they're doing.

inner tubes have gone up in price. So i'm gonna patch a whole bunch of them. That, and i also ordered 10 more. Hopefully, i won't touch those 10 for a very very long time.
