I was going down a stairway, power washing.
It was getting dark, so I was about to quit, but I wanted to get the last bit I could reach with the washer still at the top of the stairs.
Then I pulled the hose too hard. Oops.
It tumbled down a stair, landed on its side, and started spewing smoke all over (oil burning, I assume).
I turned it off, as soon as I could, then an actual fire ignited.
The motor was off, so no power washer capability, but fortunately enough water still went through the nozzle to put out the fire.
I just put it away for the day--didn't try to restart it.
There's very little visible damage, but I have no idea about the motor.
Then I locked a set of keys in the building.
The world hates me.

The ex and I got the 3rd degree entering AB from Rooseville, MT. Got asked things like what we did for livings. Then the agent fired off "What's you next day back at work?" It was the 3rd day of the trip and the only the 2nd day of riding. I didn;t know what date it was, only that is was Saturday. All I could muster was "A week from this coming Monday." When we crossed back into MT at Chief Mountain. the two young agents could not have more pleasant. They even barked at the car in line behind. Apparently, the driver thought that he did not have wait at the marked line because we were on bikes ahead of him. They told us how Canadians liked to come to the state and try to sneak back beer and cigarettes because they were much cheaper.
When I crossed into Port Erie, ON from Buffalo and asked for a passport stamp the agent literally rolled her eyes at me and reluctantly gave me a "courtesy" stamp.

I'm also glad you weren't on my crew when we pressure washed the greenhouse roofs at the nursery every year.

This came up earlier. I used to have a lot of trouble from competing devices. Now, I turn off everything that I suspect is interfering. For example, my iPhone is notorious for causing problems with my Kickr. It’s the first thing that I disable before I do indoor rides.

In '75, we were at Niagara Falls for four hours, headung into Canada. We were both hair farmers. They tore the truck apart, starting with the heater hose. Separate, private interviews, more than once. They really didn't want to let us in, but found no reason not to. The stash was in the camper, inside the spring-loaded napkin holder. Springs on both sides, stash in the middle. Somewhere along the North shore of Lake Superior, I stumnled across a gram of hash I had forgotten I had. In my bathroom kit. Coming bavk in, in Washington, was a breeze.
