May be a nice builder. I've just never seen a touring, or even "sport touring" bike with 16 spoke wheels. Not sure how much weight you can put on that rack. Maybe for credit card touring when all you can carry on the rack is literally the credit card.

That's been on the bay for a while. Annoying because the pics all show it all built up, but it's only frame/fork. My size, so it keeps coming up in all my searches.

Not much clearance between that front wheel and down tube.

[h=2]Vintage Peugeot Road Bike - $300 (mission district)[/h]

Vintage Peugeot road bike with new 700c alloy wheelset and tires. Shimano 12 speed gearing. Components are in excellent shape with new cables, housing and derailleur. Weinmann brakes and calipers. The seat is in essentially new condition and is very comfortable. Both the bottom bracket and the headset have recently been cleaned, greased and overhauled. The bike shifts and brakes great and the ride is super fun, fast and comfortable.
I am 5'3'' and ride comfortably, but the seat could be raised to fit someone up to 5'10''.

I love this bike but am selling it for financial reasons. Price is $300 but feel free to make an offer because I'm looking to sell it ASAP.
Please include a phone number in your response. I am in the Mission between 16th and 24th st BART.

This is a Vintage 1921 Hercules bike 26in teal. $125 OBO & MAY TRADE. Email or call if you have questions 336-287-9767

Exactly like my wife's 1971 Hercules when the company was owned by AMF. Apparently they could not read the date clearly on the hub.

At least the guy is honest, and he doesn't claim anything other than he was "tinkering." I think he skipped the geometry lesson on the strongest geometric shape, however.

And here is another wacky custom. I wonder if it can turn without the pedal hitting. Blue velvet seat and grips are definitely the thing these days. Shark fin top tube is pretty frightening, though.

https://greensboro.craigslist.org/bik/3722705982.html

1960's Lowrider Custom Schwinn - $750 (Trinity, NC)

1960's original Schwinn frame, custom paint with flames, tailpipes, side mirrors and gold steering wheel with lots of gold plating. Black Schwinn bicycle pack behind the seat. Seat and handlebars done in blue velvet. Would make a great addition to the man cave.

Serious inquiries only. Trades considered, please send pics.

Call or text 336-403-5608. Please do not email.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

^seller says "great addition to the man cave" which leads me to believe it's intended to be wall art. Not my idea of great art, but, someone out there would sure love it!

Anybody need some 700" wheels? That works out to about 60ft.

Granted, I don't know too much about modern wheelsets, but this pricing also seems optimistic.

I think cycleops makes the power tap metering hubs. Depending on the generation, that could be a really good price.

You're right, there I go showing my ignorance of modern parts.

Just looked them up and cycleops power tap hubs seem to run 900-1800 msrp. I humbly withdraw my 'wacky' claim.

Went thrifting today and came across this absolute steal:

A department store kids bike priced at only $99.99... and, of course, this bbcbikes ebay ad printed out and taped to it.

ANOTHER NOOB FALLS TO BBC

"Inherited this bike. I am not an expert in bikes, but my neighbor stated that it is an expensive bike.

All I can say is that it is light weight, has very narrow tires (similar to those on racing bikes), 10 speed, quick disconnect tires/rims, has fenders and electric lights that run off a little generator on the back wheel. It states that it is made in France by Peugot and has several markings. See the pictures.

I am open to offers."

So I wrote, "I bought the sister of your bike in light blue in Fenton last year for $100, equally nice condition. If you are interested let me know. I am nearby in GPP." and even sent a photo.

Seller's response, "Appreciate the offer. I was told to search eBay and found out that it is a vintage bike worth over $1000. I am going to take it to a bike shop this week and have it appraised.

Thanks, L**."
