Yes, I know. MANY others cause I'm the guy who started this "show us your" thread to compile as many re-branded ALAN frames as we could find:

https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...es-list-3.html

so far I think we have 30 different brandnames besides the original ALAN brand.

Guerciotti being by far the most popular re-badged ALAN!
I'm hoping we continue to add some more, especially with photos, cause some of the 30 named are "names-only"

IMO it's much less common to find re-branded Vitus AL-alloy frames, but there are a handful.
Even fewer re-branded SR Litage frames (San Rensho being one of the few of those, maybe the only?)

not so very curious it would seem after all...Just a plain Vitus 979 (re-branded Bertoni) but I wasn't expecting anything that easy!
The seat cluster doesn't look like an Alan or Vitus to me. I want to say that it looks like an early bonded Miyata, but I'm only about 10-20% confident in that.

I was unsure at first, but Vitus had 2 styles of seat cluster and this is the "plain bolt" not the "grub screw" version. Also the DOs, the brake bridge and the (sometimes seen) internal cable routing for top tube check out...that fork? I don't think so.
here's a site with many details of this style 979, if you want more confirmation:

Gran Prix? I don't know that year, I had the '83 competition that one had no chrome.

Forget the fork, take a look at the down tube. And if that is bent, then so is the top tube, and fixing this thing would be a major undertaking. No idea if it'd be worth it.

Oh it would be worth it, he was the real deal and his bikes usually go for very good money when they do surface which is not all that often.

If the fork could be straightened, this could be very doable.
