I saw something like that last weekend out by OMSI! Standard rear seat driver position, and two passengers up front, but each passenger had pedals with chain running back to each front wheel. Very cool.

Looks like it to me, but the camping tends to be pretty hilly in our neck of the woods. I'm not sure how I'd feel about going into the Cascades with that trike, Brad.

That TrioBike is a beautiful piece of designwork; - I wish I'd had something like that when my kids were small.
JunkyardWarrior (love your handle), - how practical is that sunshade on your trike? I'm wondering how vulnerable it is to gusts of wind & etc. After the very wet Winter we've had here I've been sketching all manner of weather protection ideas out on the backs of envelopes, but haven't really come up with anything I like yet.

thx sianelle.......its surprizingly good......handles the bumps good and the wind goes right around it...........it moves more during bumps in the road than in the wind but i havent had it in high winds yet............at high noon i only get sun on my knuckles but i think in a heavy rain id get pretty wet
it was easy to make..............its made out of a metal standing mirror frame.............the base is flipped upside down and welded to the axle and the frame around the mirror was cut in half and set on top of the base..........before i cut it there was a wagon wheel thing on top.............then metal rods for the arched supports (i used rods from a vw headliner)............then superglued the nylon onto it then a clearcoat of paint over the whole thing for weatherproofing ..........ive been lookin for a pic of the mirror i used online but i havent found any yet
and junkyard wars is my favorite show................even tho its not on anymore..........and i love makin stuff out of junk so it seemed fitting

I second the Xtracycle. If you have heavy/bulky loads to carry, you can get the WideLoader attachments.

Electric assist on a trike is a really excellent option. After riding my own homebuilt electric assisted tricycle for more than a year I can happily report that an electric assisted trike can completely replace a car for local journeys.

You need a conference bike.
I actually watched the video-- really bizarre-- but I couldn't turn away. That thing weighs 400lbs without riders.

What for?
nope that is a locking Tradesman toolbox 4' x 5' .
in the new year i'll be dropping the coin ($5000 here in BC, Canada to bring one in) on that very model, with an additional $2000 upgrade for a custom built bull low Slumph drive on the BB and a Rohloff rear hub , with drum brake.
