I feel lucky in that regard. Workhorse is consistantly one of the top rated daily drinkers in town and everything I've had from Gigantic (a really new brewer in town) has been good too - looking forward to this one.

On a side note, do you have a workshop here in town or do you mainly do that up north?

As soon as I got home from riding, chocolate milk. Now I'm enjoying a few bottles of Labatt Blue. Not a bad go-to beer.

one of my top 3 seattle beers (and one of the more rare, harder to find ones)

Looks good, I'll keep my eye out for it.

Belmont had Pelican's "Mother of all Storms" in stock and I wanted to pick up a bottle, but to be honest, the prices some of these breweries think their brew is worth is out of this world. I just paid $20 for a bottle of OA Rasputin and the aforementioned MOAS is $23 a bottle. I'm sure its good, but there are so many other great bottles of beer, that are a quarter the cost, it makes the purchase very hard.

schooner doesn't make it out of seattle. portland has tons of beers that dont make it up here (like 10 barrel, which i get everytime i go down)

re: mother of all storms. i still have one bottle from last years release.. its such a heavy handed beer, hard to want to drink more than one bottle, ever.

Why do american breweries price their beers as if they are european imports? I am not down with the $15+ bomber trend.

the hoppy the woodsman was 18bux for a 32oz growlette

not a bad trade off for ABV per dollar

also, better pic of the best beer (IMO) that seattle makes

Speaking of value, WinCo here in the NW often has great prices on 22oz beers. Havent shopped there in a while, but have picked up 22oz Lagunitas bottles for under $3.

Today I picked up Big Hugs. Fantastic, as always. Tomorrow, I'm trading a bottle of my Westvleteren for two bottles of Captain Trips (Malört "barrel" [soaked wood chips, haha] Black Saison that Greg and Brian from Goose Island made a barrel of, and something, in their words, rare to sweeten the deal.

At my company holiday party on Friday I did my first bear fight. Which, if you aren't familiar, is an Irish car bomb followed immediately by a Jager bomb.

Don't ask me why, other than to say I did it.

I ended up so drunk that I left the party (which started at 2; bearfight was at ~3) at 6:30. Was in bed by 8:30pm and slept for 14 hours, whee.
