There's also the Azerbaijan/ Armenia issue. And there will be more. The whole region is destabilized and everyone with a grudge to settle is taking the opportunity.

First one. She was super nervous but it was very low key which was nice. I told her next year I would do it with her. It was a charity event for people with disabilities, it was a race but alot of people chose to walk it. I am just glad she did it, if you would have told me a year ago she would do a race by herself, show up and complete it, I would have called you a liar.
She is treating running shoes like I treat my bikes. N+1. She now has 3 pairs of brooks, another one on the way.

Though I did go skating on a sheen of ice on a wooden bridge this morning. Turned around and took another route. Could have crashed...

These silly sideways traffic signals. They just don't register as being traffic control devices in my mind.

She's quite restrained. I have a Brooks waiting to get added to the rotation and a Saucony on top of that, with three in current rotation (but one to be retired soon). AG is... I think she has six. So yeah, be prepared for more. Much cheaper than bikes though, and no flat tires.

as long as she is happy and she keeps running.

Well yeah. I was just meaning to brace yourself for a wall of shoes.
Actually that reminds me that the guy running the tri club we were on back in the day had a shoe-store-style set of display flats covering one of his garage walls. Probably about 20 pairs in rotation for him and his wife.

Jolanda's got her own line of hats now? Found this one on the trail today. Gonna look for a local trails grouplist to post it to after taking a full power shower.

I'd sport a Jolanda Neff hat for sure! Or even better - a Kate Courtney one (if those exist)
