Came out of the house to walk to work and discovered the Subaru has a flat tire. Thank god for free roadside assistance.

I am lucky, I have found that Sidi 44 Narrow is PERFECT for me, and 44 regular is acceptable. So I am quite confident in picking up bargains online. The Sidi's run narrow anyway, so some people pick up 44 narrows and realize they are too tight. I am pleased to take these off their hands.
It seems everything about me is too skinny.

Oh, and I have to opposite problem of yours - everything's too wide. I've tried on Sidi Mega winter boots, but they weren't quite right. I assume that their regular road shoes fit similarly, which is a disappointment, as I always thought Sidi might be nirvana for me, as they seem to be for so many others.

I think finding a good shoe manufacturer and size is as important as finding the "right" saddle. Once you know one that fits you, you can always shop online for better prices.
Buying shoes online is generally stupid unless you are very comfortable with brand and size.

I so want to find my foolproof brand/size. I'd love to be able to buy online, but every shoe so far has been a compromise. My current Spec shoes are pretty good, but they went and changed 'em since I bought them.

At the Honda dealer having my Odyssey serviced and they’re trying to get me to trade it. This could be dangerous.

Ours is a 2007 with about 130K on it. It's 10 years old and mrs datlas says she wants it for another 10+ years. It's a fine minivan and has been quite reliable for us. My only gripe is that it's not a stick shift.

No, but I've given it thought. I think it's one of those opportunity cost obstacles, where X problem isn't big enough for Y dollars when Y dollars could go towards something more fulfilling. Like current shoes are pretty good, but could very well take $250-400 for any worthwhile improvement... but I'd rather that $250-400 go towards a power meter first. That list of I'd-rather-haves is getting shorter, though, so maybe in the not-too-distant future.

Oh, and I spoke with Saris/Powertap - so nice having domestic customer service. Looks like everything should fit, but they'll take it back, if not.

I visited the John Deere Center in Moline, IL while riding across the country. We had a day off at a host's house across the river in Davenport, IA so I took a ride over. Neat to be able to climb up into some of the equipment like a combine.

...the pair of Ibis was a nice find. There are not that many of them that show up hereabouts.
There's a refuge farther south down near Gustine where Ibis were a more common visitor in season.
Also, it's always fun to be wandering around the northern Sacramento Valley when there's snow on the Coast Range.

I found that heat helps a little. Heating pad good, but, body warmth created from warm clothing is better.
House temperature helps too, for me. I spent about a year in a chair, and a very long time on prednisone. Can't remember how long. Strong meds when worse, and less when not as bad, Your future could be better, sometimes it just gets better. The best position for me is in a soft recliner with my feet up and the knees bent. For me the change in temperature was often worse than cold.
I wear two pair of long underwear, even in the summer. Tomorrow I'm riding in the high 30s - low 40s. One pair of shorts, and five pair of tights.
