That frame couldn't fit me any better if it were custom made and I get ridiculed for it being too big... lol, yeah it's huge considering I have a 120mm stem and a setback post with the saddle most of the way back. It's tall enough that there are no spacers and my back is flat in the drops. It's OK though, I don't really expect much from bike forums these days. Half the bikes posted here are obviously not fit well at all but all anyone here cares about is the name on the downtube and how much drop you have. I honestly don't even know why I bother sometimes.

His non decaled matching bike isn't "clean" because he properly installed his fork and the bike has traditional geometry? If you don't like it you don't like it but your comment is just silly. I wouldn't call the bike hot but it is clean and simple. I think that makes it better than most. Now his other bike, that is hot.

Traditional geo or not...the stubby setback post looks silly to me. It's certainly clean & simple. I don't care about logos/etc. Once again...if the rider is happy he/she shouldn't really care...

I agree it does look odd. It is too bad they put the clamp up so high. If the frame had a traditional clamp just above the stays I think it would better (more exposed post)

I'm not even mad, and I don't care if people think it's not hot. It's the utter ignorance about how bikes should look and be set up with the associated asinine comments that annoy me... It's also BS that people seem to think there is a standard for hotness in a thread called "hot r not". Really, is reading that hard? For the most part this has turned into a fredly circle jerk slash epeen measure-off in regards to who has what brand frame or wheels, who has the most drop, etc...

I agree with the frame and quill stem comments but not the gum hoods. The tires are also gum walls. Unless he wanted it all black. I prefer the gum color only because it looks more traditional. All personal preference.

If you post in this thread, it's more for "posing" your bike in the sexiest position, with the components, in a certain position to meet the "criteria". This thread is just to show off your bike, & if it doesn't follow the rules, you'll know within a few minutes.
If it's not showing @ least 2' of post, slammed stem,hoods/levers @least 2" away from being in the drops,& @least $6000+ of CF.
It's not hot...
You can't post pics of your bike if it's comfortable for you to ride.
Not in this thread...
I'm comfortable knowing I'll never be part of the 'Hot" clique.
Now I know what the nerds/geeks felt like in high school.
Don't worry what others have to say, spending $10K on a bike won't make you any faster than you are right now.
These bikes are good enough for the Tour de France, but not the motors.
Just roll with the blows bro...
If it works for you, that's all that matters.
I think both your bikes are hot!

There are plenty of bikes posted in this thread that I think are "hot" that cost less than $6K, made out of something other than carbon fiber, and might even have a couple of spacers under the stem. Also, just because one has an aggressive setup doesn't mean the rider will necessarily be uncomfortable.
To me, Mazdaspeed's bike is good looking, but not "hot" because IMO it looks, well, plain. It looks like it fits great (with the slammed 120mm stem and decent amount of saddle setback), but there is just nothing that special about it to make it "hot".
I should also mention there are lots of other bikes in this thread that I feel the same way as I do about Mazdaspeed's bike; good looking but not hot. Of course, opinions will vary as to what constitutes a hot bike to someone, but people just need to get over it and move on if someone doesn't deem their bike worthy.

That said, I have less than $2k total invested in my bike and it's received the "Hot" wave off on this thread and in person.

I was being sarcastic...
Hence the many smilies...
My "sense" of hot is different than most.
I pretty much think 90% of the bikes posted in this thread since I've been a member here are hot.
Pretty much just poking fun @ the "perfect bikes".
I got hot comments on my budget build that was partially assembled @ the shop.
Will it get the same here probably not, but I can live with that.
It is after all my 1st build.
