Hey Scrod, I just grabbed a bike with Sugino 75s on it and it has the Sugino bb in it. What are your opinions on the best bang for your buck sealed bb.

I've found https://www.benscycle.com/p-164-prot...sugino-75.aspx but also open to other options.

We used to carry the Protype too but stopped because I found the spindles to be very inconsistent. This is much better, IMO.

Hey scrod I remembered you said something about being able to get colossi's. What's the retail price range of colossi's any way? What about the Lowpro?

Colossi just set up distribution in the US. We're already locked in as their dealer for the region but I won't really know pricing or what's readily available from their facility for another month or so.

Any thoughts on the Brooks C17 vs C15? Obviously the C15 is narrower, and saddle fit is a personal thing. Im trying to decide between the two and none of my LBSs have any to demo. Im going to order one or the other from you.

FWIW i have recently ridden (and disliked) a Fizik Arione VS and a Fizik Aliante.

I know you ride a C17, how does it compare to a B17 (which I have on another bike)?

Thanks.

Hey Scrod, barely a question, but figured this was the best place to drop a "Hey Scrod!"

I ordered some stuff from Retrogression today (EAI 17t and Yoshida Champs), and it's already in the mail! Do you by any chance toss in stickers with every order? I've been stickering up my beater and I would like to rep your shop!

It was probably the best party we've had so far. About a hundred people showed up and when the cops came because we were raging, they were cool too.

You answered your own question.

The C17 feels a lot like a Team Pro.

Sometimes we throw in stickers, sometimes we throw in other goodies.

An order from RG is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.

Hey scrod, any observations of how the black paint on black archetypes hold up over time when run with a brake?

I've got the standard steel MKS clips on my Urban Platforms and they are a bit tight on my toes with some of my shoes, so I was wondering if the MKS deep clips will make enough difference to bother changing them.

Great news

Another shop related question for you scrod, do you usually have all the differently finished 32H archetypes on hand?

They're bigger enough to make a noticeable difference.

We try to keep all of them in stock all the time but the amount of wheel builds we've been doing lately has been insane so it would probably be best to call/e/mail before coming down to get them.

I'll say my archetypes paint was gone within a couple of months but that's due to Portland weather and grime.

Scrod, what are your suggestions on a low rise riser bar like the easton ea50 but with a 26 clamp and silver finish.

Risers having a 26.0 clamp are pretty hard to come by. I think PureFix or one of those other budget companies make one but if you want to use anything nicer, you'll need to use shim on 25.4 bars.
