Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not road bike related, but I bought a mtb yesterday...

and a pair of these...I hope, it took me an hour of searching before I came across a size 46, now I just hope the site was truthful in saying they were in stock.

The paint job on that C50 is almost as fugly as the one on my old 2003 Lemond Victoire was. But I bet the bike rides sweet...

I'm so tempted to get the fire/ruby iridiums for my splitjackets.
I have persimmon, & black but the blacks are thrashed.

Another vote for the PD-A530 for its versatility, durability and price. Been tempted many times to switch over to the SPD-SL camp, but everytime I look back at the thousands of miles I've covered with these SPD pedals without any discomfort to my feet nor knees, I keep the status quo. It's that good to me at least.

A GCS-10 to go with my new Edge 500. NEVER had a cadence meter in 30+ years of cycling and was surprised how accurate counting really was. Really cool to see how many revolutions you pedal on a ride and it's nice to have an accurate speedometer again!!!

I bought those too, go a size or 2 down, they fit large on me.
We don't have change rooms in our Costcos.

Well S is their smallest size available. I bought 2 pairs each and hopefully it's a perfect fit. I'm replacing a Underarmour ColdGear compression I'm using as base layer. I like the compression but they feel wet after awhile.

I have the top (in grey). Works very well. I didn't know they had the bottom, though. You gonna wear it underneath a pair of regular bike pants? I'd love to know how that works!

Right about the size... I bought small since it was the smallest size available. It's still a bit lose on me, but not too bad.

Are the flat sides stable (i.e. non-slippery)? I've been thinking about buying PD-A530 as well. I want to go clipless come next spring, so I could wait until then. However, my current platform pedals are slippery when I ride in the rain, even against my Shimano cycle shoes. I want to buy platform pedals that grip well in the rain but don't want to spend money on them and end up switching to SPD pedals in a few months. If the PD-A530 has solid flat sides, then I can just buy them now - two birds with one stone.

I saw these and was tempted... and then I saw that the merino part of the merino blend is 11% (if I remember correctly). Regardless, let us know how they work out.
