I go all the way back to A Woofer in Tweeter's Clothing, Kimono My House, and Propaganda. Had all their vinyl after they changed their name from Halfnelson. I saw them in 1975 in Santa Monica. Van Halen was still a Pasadena garage band at the time was the warm up act.

An interesting coincidence: I once saw a magazine in the newstand whose masthead caught my eye (I'm a graphic designer). It was called Intelligent Life. I bought it for the logo and the beautiful typography of the layout. To my great surprise, I found inside an article about Sparks and the concert series where they played all their 22 albums (the number at that time) in 22 nights.
Indeed, their lyrics are extraordinary. And constantly so since the begining of the seventies. I'm looking forward to listening to their new album, Hippopotamus.

As I have listened to for a little under a decade: Harvey Danger - Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone?
Probably my favorite album of all time and I am still finding new reasons to like it and new favorite songs. Flagpole Sitta was once the reason I picked up the album and now is one of the least listened to tracks for me. It is a magical album that hits all the right notes and has got me through rough times and really great times.
