Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

specialized rbx sport shorts

specialized sl pro tall socks

question for those who wear specialized socks - im a shoe size 9, not a wide foot, and the S/M sock are listed for people who are shoe size 6-10, but damn these are snug. they seem to come up as high as they should and the heel seems to be about where it should be on my foot, but with how tight they are i cant imagine that the L/XL size would be a bad fit, maybe even a better fit. on a white pair, i can basically see through them a bit when on and pulled up. are specialized's socks just that tight?

I have some of the older socks, and they are almost uncomfortably tight. I don't wear them much anymore just because of that.

Picked up an Edge 820 toward the beginning of the year. I've been very happy with it so far. The battery life has been solid, the touchscreen has been responsive, and routing has been great as well. Following premade routes is a breeze and recalculating was quick and effective when I made some wrong turns on purpose to test it.

I'm finally able to transfer routes via bluetooth from my phone which hadn't been working on my 520, and I'm also happy to have detailed maps for the entire country on the unit from the start - much more convenient than fumbling with multiple OSM files if I'm outside of my home state.

a bike fit as my fit had changed as I lost some of my fat belly and gained flexibility, a Trigger point roller to help stretch my body after a ride, and a new jersey shown below when I made my New Year's day ride:

My only gripe is that the backside has openings through the case and dirt/lint will build up inside the case over time. Unless, that is, you get smart like I eventually did and put a piece of packaging tape over the openings.

So far I'm really enjoying the case compared to an otter box case I was using. It still has enough grip and protection. The rain cover is a welcomed bonus. The 'out front' mount is for my indoor bike which sits on the trainer full time and the stem mount is for my primary steed.

Is that a chain watcher or something else? Are those usually associated with going compact? I have one on my CX bike, but none of my other bikes.

It looks like a Parlee CF front derailleur bracket.

Yes. Parlee adapter clamp thing. I didn't pay full price BTW.Plus another 15% off for signing up for their email newsletter.

The bike was powder coated and I'm afraid there will be a scar when I remove the Shimano deraileur clamp and slide the derailleur down a few millimeters. This clamp should cover any gouges in the powder coat caused by the existing clamp. The silver Shimano clamp doesn't match the black 105 components anyway.

There are some $20 crabon clamps on ebay but reviews say they are flexy.

Always good when your order starts to arrive. Besides the box of stuff I purchased a new set of wheels for the single speed, and new front wheel for the TT bike.

Just arrived, 10 speed Ultegra and chain.

Saw these Clif bars at Walmart. Couldn't pass up the deal, 12 for $7.
