Miyata being advertised as a 1000 LT, which seems highly unlikely at best and totally bogus and misleading at worst.

"Rims are messed up, and gearing is a little off, otherwise fine." At least he posted the "messed up" part, or is this the fix?

This seemed reasonable at the time, to someone... I hope they don't work at a nuclear power plant.
Somewhat neater the second time.

Ever notice how precious their photos are? Craigs allows 24, and most listings have one or two. One nds shot of your japanese Bianchi you're asking $400 for? Your photos are so precious! Better not waste 'em on, you know, people interested in the bike you have for sale.

If this thing were donated to our local co-op it would quickly be transferred to the scrap metal dumpster (after the donor has left, of course).

"Large, 62 cm Italvega brazed lug steel frame from the 70’s with Campy hubs, pedals, headset, and stem. Needs some tlc, but will clean up nice. Other parts include Shimano Deore rear derailer, Suntour gear levers, Stronglight crank arms, and Panasonic tires. Front wheel has one broken spoke, and there is a lot of surface rust. Ride as is or tear it down and give it an overhaul. Either way, it’s a solid bike with vintage Italian parts."

Overpriced craziness of the day. My apologies to Schwinn lovers, but I wouldn't pick that up off the street.

I'd at least grab the headset first. And hubs. And seatpost if it could be removed.

Yeah, may be some salvageable parts - pretty rusty though. The seatpost has a 2 bolt adjustment. Those are gold in my book.

Perhaps a very nice bike but still - no warranty and I believe dealers (when they have them) a lot less. In this case I see the "wacky" as the desire by the buyer to have the latest and greatest, albeit second hand. Having said that I don't know these bikes but thought they weren't over $5000 new..??..........

Per ad:

Nishiki Medalist 63cm

I left work early to drive two hours to buy this bike for $275.00. I got cold feet. He's still willing to sell it for that, and offered to meet me halfway. I may still get it. I'm actually lucky, both my wife and I are still employed, I work from home, and while we never ate out much, we have been saving a lot during the lockdown. Maybe payday will change my attitude.
