The purple core, there's a flyweight or two, a brevet, a gilet, the button down merino sweater I've been wanting (I have a quarter zip and crew neck - they're favorite winter pieces). Ugh, too much.

There is a fairly famous singer-songwriter buried in a Jewish cemetery nearby. It's less than 2 miles from our house and despite living here for almost 20 years we never visited his gravesite.
We can scratch that off the bucket list, as we walked there today.
Pics to follow. Anyone care to guess who the mystery musical artist is?

I wore out a set of Fusions, and have been looking at a set of Quills to build up.

Call me stupid, if you will, but I don't see how the water overcomes the air pressure in the tires. Either tubeless or tubed.

[QUOTE=WhyFi;21639330]I had some A23s a couple bikes ago. Nice rims and I could see them being wide/deep enough for some water in the internal chamber. I suppose that drainage isn't as bad without a tubeless stem sealing things up, though./QUOTE]
A 23s are fine rims for a small guy like myself. 150# these days but up to 172 several years ago. My rims have 26,000 miles and are as good as new. If I were a big guy like big John, I'd want something a bit beefier.

Every double wall rim has this cavity, some are just larger than others based on rim profile.
You think? I've got 36° A23s on my big heavy bike and I'm about 210. Seem just fine to me.

I said that it's not in the tires - it's in the rims. Pretty much any modern rim has a chamber between the rim bed and the inner diameter. Water works in between the spoke nipples and the spoke holes.
Using water-tight rim tape, as oppose to some cloth like Velox, means that the water has less opportunity to drain.

Someone already snagged the SS merino base layer, though. I wanted that, too. Prolly for the better.

I don't want to brag but I repaired a piece of gutter and some fascia trim today (two different locations) and I neither cut myself or fell off the ladder. Win-win!

Brutal day on the Lemond today. A lot of the roads I expected to be gravel were actually gnarly Jeep trail double track.

So this is what they're talking about with deep section rims? And because the section is literally deeper, they catch more crosswind. I thought they(you all) were talking about deeper dish somehow.

You've never heard of water intrusion in rims? There was a recent thread about it in the 41 and one of the responses was to just leave the water in there because it wouldn't hurt anything. I maintain that you need to dry it to prevent corrosion.
