My 86' Schwinn passage
Here is my 86' Schwinn Passage with all new parts and powder coated Snake-Skin Green.
I still need to put my fenders and racks on, then shes ready for a tour.

My last Schwinn of the period was my '89 564. Built it up with Shimano 600 tri-color, but never could really come to love the frame. Ended up trading it off to someone here on the forum (can't remember who):

1987 Schwinn Circuit. Great condition with small scruffs and scratches here and there. This bike rides great!
Today during a ride through town, I decided to stop and take some pictures so I could finally upload them to the forum.
Purchased from original owner who still had the catalog.
Equipped with complete Suntour 7000 Cyclone except for the hubs.
Cinelli stem and bar. Mavic MA40 laced to Sansin hubs. Columbus tubing.
Replaced the Turbo Tri saddle with a Bontrager. I also replaced the cylone pedals for some clipless.
Got rid of the tri-bar and have put away the Zefel pump.
Future plans include a white Concor Profil and some new bar tape (tore the tape in a collision with a car, hence the ring of black tape on the right handle).
I have also tooled with the idea of converting this to brifters and a 9 speed cassette but can't get over the want to keep it original.
*excuse the bulky lights, but safety first!

87 Tempo
I had an 87 Tempo before, but it was too large. This time I found one that was my size! I love the color scheme. The bike just looks fast!

FrankenTown based on an '88 Le Tour frame. I got the bare frame (not even with a fork) so I don't feel guilty for wrecking a classic.
It is still in process. Since that photo was taken I've shortened up that absurdly long shifter cable and found a sort of matching red grip.
It is amazingly fast and nimble and fun to ride.
Still todo:
Front brake
Fenders - torn between the Orange Velo hammered or red plastic- feel free to vote, but this is also a super frugal build so the odds are against hammered.
Racks - there seems to be a sudden shortage of silver racks here in Chicago.
New rubber - the tires on there now were just laying around the house. I'd like to run 35s if I can squeeze them in with fenders. The wheels are 700, so one would think that there would be a ton of room, but somehow there isn't.

Just finished this '87 Tempo
...refinished in beige with Shimano 600 and Brooks leather. It's a 8 speed, got the 130 OLD wheelset from BBM. That's Velo-Orange cable housing.
Particularly like the tan sidewalls with the teeny red stripe.

Sadly, I do not. Looks like 25's would fit for sure, somebody even posted a pic a while back of one with 25's and fenders. So 28's- good possibility.

1986 Paramount - Heavily Upgraded.
I bought this frame and upgraded it into my go to race bike:

I've also got a 1985 Peloton. The Peloton, in my opinion, actually offers a superior ride. I'm guessing this is due to the narrow, tapering seat stays on the Peloton. The Paramount has these enormous Columbus SL stays. I've also located an all original 1988 schwinn premis that I may buy, even though the last thing I need is another bike. I'll post pics of the peloton at some point, but it looks just like every other red 1985 peloton on earth.

'87 Traveler
The first bike in the garage that I normally grab when I go ride......fun and forgiving bike to ride. Nothing like most of the bikes here, but it's a really nice condition 4130 chromoly frame. And yea, the stem is up pretty far to ease my aging back.

Dura ace - downtube shifters, brakes, rear derailleur, campagnolo crank and hubs,
Suntour front crank, campagnolo record brake levers and regina super leggera chain, cinelli 1R stem
Im contemplating putting Cinelli L.A.84 bullhorns. i have them new. but never ridden bullhorns.
Got it the frame for $60.00 and im building it all shimano dura ace / campagnolo crank and brake levers.
