This is the bike on the day that i got it. since then, i've removed all the reflectors (i never ride at night), flipped the stem, added toe clips and a schwinn pouch that sits on the toptube, by the handlebars, for my cellphone/keys.

Just out of curiosity. Why sell of the FX 7.7 for a 7.3? They don't seem to even compare.

i got the 7.7 and was so excited yet i barely rode it... i felt awful looking at my ~$1700 bike just sitting there so i sold it. i put maybe 80 miles on it in about 10 months i felt like i was watching it depreciate so i sold it - at a loss - but still recovered a good chunk of my $.

so with part of that $, i went to miami and with the rest i got a great deal on the 7.3 for a little over $500. it's funny because i think i like the 7.3 so much more than the 7.7 but i dont know why. i've actually put more miles on the 7.3 than i did on the 7.7 in less time.... no sure why that was...

plus because the 7.7 was such a light bike, i feel like i barely got a workout riding it. im drenched in sweat after a 25 mile ride on the 7.3 but on the 7.7, i remember my longest ride was 45 miles and i came back to my place sweating but it just didnt feel like a workout... maybe it's bc the manhattan/westside bike path is flat, maybe it's all just in my head, but whatever the reason is, i am enjoying the 7.3 more.

nothing against the 7.7 whatsoever - it was an awesome bike and it sucked getting rid of it because it was a graduation gift to myself... but i just could not watch it day to day collecting dust in my apartment... i dont do centurys, i dont race, i ride in jeans most of the time so the 7.7 just felt like gross overkill for my level of interest interest in cycling...

I have a trek utopia. It came with 700x35 tires but I put on 700x25 and drop handlebars. i like it a lot better that way. I have pics of it somewhere on this forum.

Seeing Trek Utopia is weird. I've looked into Gary Fishers for about 6 years before I finally bit the bullet and got my Gary Fisher Utopia. Then, the year after I get it, Trek kills the Gary Fisher brand name and now they are all "The Gary Fisher Collection by Trek." I know it doesn't matter, but I'm glad mine is Gary Fisher branded.

well here's a picture of my cannondale baadboy solo headshock : temp pedals on in this photo . pre ordered it started riding as soon as my dealer called me. i've read reviews of it being worth the over payment. after coming off a cypres dx with 700cc X 32cc michellin pilot's. All i can say is the bad boy is much better all around and for my urban and rural rides. it's proving it's self just fine.

Do most of you have really long legs and arms? So many handlebars set low, and seats so high. I have short legs, average arms, and a long torso. If I set my handlebars down that low I'd probably roll right over the front tire Nice bikes, everyone.

Maybe the seat height is just an illusion due to different angled top tubs. Physically we can't ride the bike if the saddle to extended pedal is too long. We'd be riding like ducks waddling.
Also, I think many hybrids on here are close to level "saddle to stem" (or stem slightly higher) which many feel comfortable set at.

I love the look of the Bad Boy, I always drool over them in my LBS. But please remove the dork disc, it really doesn't complement it

True on the first, disagree on the second (as the mantra goes "with-a-properly-set-up-derailleur-nothing-that-a-dork-disk-can-save-you-from-can-happen-to-your-spokes").

At least get a black one

I guess you've never torn up eight drive side spokes with one missed shift.

I spotted this unsuspended Lefty fork today.

They're just really comfortable that way when I want a more upright position. Thought I'd give it a try and liked it so much it stuck.

Same I am wondering about that too. Those bar ends look very scary imagine if you get into a sudden stop and you kinda lean forward. Need padding on the chest to avoid chest/lung injury!

I could be wrong, but with the curve line on those bar ends, aren't they should be point to the front for your hand position instead?
