My latest purchase
This bike is my latest purchase. I finished building it last Friday after the last parts came in. Actually, I'm still waiting on the bottle cages for the bike, as these are take-offs from my commuter that I just switched over. Cages are going to be Lezyne CNC's in black.
Since I'm currently dialing in the fit of the bike, I still have quite a few spacers on it. I know so far that I at least don't need to raise the stem so I can cut it down to get rid of the spacers on top. I may eventually lower it from there as well as my flexibility gets better. Also, the saddle looks a little wonky, but that's just the angle/view from the camera (my phone). A bubble level shows that it's dead flat.
The picture of the bike was taken at the top of my local climb, which in San Antonio isn't much compared to what a lot of you do I'm sure. Coming from a ~28lb commuter bike which I used for everything this Gunnar is amazingly fun!

New Record chain and Miche 12-25 10-speed cassette. Chain installed with the pricey Park CT-4.3 chain tool that came in the same package from Ribble.
I've previously always used a master link, but this time I thought I'd like to do it "proper," like. The pin went in easily enough, but the link was really stiff. I had to bend the link back and forth manually quite a few times to loosen it up. Is that normal?
I won't need to lube the chain for a while, but I realize now that having a master link on your chain provides you with an easily identifiable start/finish point for spritzing on the lube.
I'm not sure I'm completely sold on using the supplied pin yet. On the other hand, it may just be a sort of placebo effect, or maybe because it's new, but darn it if the Record chain isn't super smooth and a total pleasure to spin around the cogs. The drivetrain feels tighter and shifting is silky smooth.
Yeah, it was probably about time to replace the chain.

Boyd Altamonts to replace old Bonti Races I had to go back to when I broke a Neuvation. Pretty wide, pretty light and reasonably priced. Arriving Wednesday.

Carbon wheels will be in in about 10 days. Lovin' the stiffness of this bike.
Kit doesn't match
After seeing your post I bought one too. Thanks, I think

Time will tell, right? That's a good price.
This will be my 5th Morvelo jersey. I have two standard and two Nth Series. This is my first Ultralight. Plan is to wear this on some of my night rides.
Only complaint is that they run short in the torso. I know some like that but it places the entrance to the pockets a bit high making it a little difficult to access while riding. Other than that, I love these jerseys. I can almost guarantee that no one will be wearing the same jersey.
Check Wiggle before you buy Morvelo products. They often have exclusive designs and cheaper prices than the Morvelo site.

Fly 6 Camera/tail light
Fly 6 Camera-tail light, same height as my Serfas Thunderbolt. 1.5 times the depth & width. Fly 6 30 lumens vs. Thunderbolt 40 lumens.

Prefer this over an action camera. Loops video in two hour segments. Saves video if something bad happens.

Woman make me faster
Bought a Garmin Edge 520 because my 510 decided to give up the ghost. Now I have a $150 wish list that includes the D Fly so I can use the useless function of seeing which gears I am using on screen. The plus is battery level. And since I am buying totally useless stuff the Garmin remote is on the list as well.
