Nope although I don’t think it would have done much. My compadres with saddle covers fared even worse. I wonder if it just locked in the moisture.

My saddle is probably salvagable.

Huh, well I'm in Oregon, we have our fair share of rain albeit not normally riding in it for 12 hours but still never came close to losing a Brooks yet.

I treat em probably a little more than I should, never a problem yet and covers usually seem to do their job. Hope yours pulls through.

Thanks. It might as I am pretty slight so it didn’t really deform it. It just softened it up too fast I’m afraid. Oh well. We all got really wet on the gravel loop. The weather turned pretty bad and there were mud puddles everywhere by the end. Without fenders, the bottom of the saddle, and my back (and basically everything else) was covered in wet mud. I’d never ridden in the rain for 8 hours before this.

I treat them top and bottom, old, new and any thing in between, not too much, but lightly cover the whole saddle probably once a year.
