No, just hate Atlanta traffic and Nashville, too. If I have my way, I’ll never pass through either city again or at least until they get their traffic problems under control and I’m pretty sure that isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

Turns out it was just a matter of repeatedly hitting the button and eventually it worked. I counted 19 species this afternoon, maybe one hundred individuals. I'll try again in the morning.

Well, the slow northerly trek has started. We’ve stayed in Kissimmee, Clermont, Port Charlotte, and Venice, FL. We’re heading to Destin for a few days, then Nashville and home.
We we’re hoping all of the snow would be gone but I see there is 3” more forecast for tonight. Still, it will be good to get home.

BillyD is a photographer of raptors. Nothing wrong with that. They do a thing here, in November. A competition, among teams of six or seven, including one paid guide per group, to see who can come up with the most species. From Friday night through Sunday noon, inside of the state, or some such. It sounds odd and not fun, but it is fun. Expensive too. I only did it the first two years we were here. The winning team normally gets around 150 species. In southern Belize, our Christmas bird count yielded around 250 species. I got 19 this afternoon, more than I expected.
