Made plans to get up to NYC to ride in the big city for the first time. We've got a group coming up in December for the TOD alleycat. Does anyone on here ever race in them?

Man, I used to really dig that old GT "Wings" logo on the bikes.

I had a Dyno Comp when I was a kid. I worked my ass off cutting grass for a whole summer to buy that bike. My kid self thought it would be super cool to trick it out with pegs and all that jazz. Rode the wheels off of it and I think my dad sold it at a garage sale for like $5. These photos brought back some memories. Thanks for sharing man! So cool...

Also... Today I got an awesome package in from RG with some pedals, clips, straps, handlebars and grips. Can't wait to get it all put together. Probably gonna have to get different straps at some point as the ones I ordered don't play super well with the MKS pedals, but that's my fault for being cheap.

RG got me my stuff in super quick-time and the little sticker swag in the box is fun. Yay for new stuffs!

Mid-school is more my jam, but yeah, that GT Cruiser is dope.

Anywho, Today (Friday night) I decided going and riding my local trails at 8 p.m. with no lights was a good idea. Thankfully a well-lit group if riders passed by and let me tail them. Riding winding trails through a pitch black wooded area for the last 6 miles would've resulted in a trip to the hospital for sure.

Sweet! I periodically consider racing cruiser class at the BMX track in my area, but not enough time and not enough interest in getting hurt by some try-hard tool. Oh, and I just realized that last storage rack with the Kuwahara is chromed. Ridiculous...

Today I functioned on 3 hours of sleep after staying up to finish a crappy chem lab on chemical rate laws and kinetics. Laaame. Also, I'm nearly finished with the squat rack/bench press welding project.

Today was my late dad's birthday and I ended up having an interesting conversation with a cool lady at the bar about life and deceased dads. Funny how things come and go around. Happy birthday, dad.

I'm rocking SPDs as well. Had my first "**** I can't unclip" moment. Luckily, I managed to unclip right before I fell over but I still managed to slam my bike to the ground. All of this right in front of work in midtown Manhattan, so about 100 people witnessed my uncoordinated dismount. Awesome.

Probably not the place to promote what you had for dinner or the fact that your girlfriend broke up with you or that you took a trip to Singapore, but people do it anyway... it's the "Today I" thread. Today, I got good news that a project I'm proud of went to print.

No need to be a jerk about it.

What are you building up? And what was up with that minivelo bike? Were you planning to enroll in clown college?

You are promoting a for-profit endeavor, not telling a story or commiserating with bike bros. There's a distinct difference.

Removed.

But for what it's worth, if I'm lucky, I'll make $2 per shirt, after the first 25, which is unlikely. And I posted it because:

1. I thought people would dig the design and wear the shirt, and;

2. I was proud of my work and wanted to share it. Just like people here are proud of their bikes and builds and whatever and want to share those. I'm a freelance print designer in a digital world and I take pride in my work. It's exciting for me to see my stuff go to print outside of my home studio. I've designed over 600 books for independent authors. When I see someone carrying a book that I've designed, it's a boost for me.

I wasn't trying to make money off of the forums. I'm not some corporate pig. I'm just proud of what I do and today was a bit of a milestone.

I took it down though. So carry on. Didn't mean to step on any toes or violate the forum rules.
