Yeah, I about had a heart attack there. This one was so damn stressful compared to the other 2 championships. We considered going up to SF for it but I didn't have a good vibe after Tuesdays drubbing.

I'm a bigger sports fan than I should be, baseball is my favorite, but its so time consuming. We do go to a few games a year but no longer go to Dodger Stadium for obvious reasons.

Basketball, football, and hockey are great as well but these days I watch the highlights mostly. Watched the Lakers last night during WS commercials and they're lol terrible (I wish they had the dubs game on).

Started following Soccer after visiting the UK during the World Cup in 1998. Just going into the pubs and the vibe they put out is amazing compared to sports over here. They have a huge list of songs they sing during games. Americans know a a 10 second portion of Seven Nation Army.

I just tuned in.

Much lower cadence than Voigt.

Much better about staying on the black line.

Weird 200m track length.

If the turns are shorter, one drifts up to the red in the straights.

This track has wide turns even though it is 200 meters.

I don't live in LA or follow baseball, so it's not obvious to me, what's wrong with dodger stadium? I thought it was a famous place.

With Voigt it looked like he had plenty at the end. This guy, looks like he may not even make it.

~740 meters, so it's almost four laps of that track.

Last half inning of Game 7? That's like tuning in to the last 100m of the TdF.

There have been some unfortunate fan vs fan violence issues there (which could be said about many sporting venues). One of the victims (Bryan Stow) of one of the attacks is dealing with permanent debilitating injuries. The event was widely covered by ESPN when it happened. As a result, Dodger Stadium was required to increase security and improve lighting in and around the park.

It's bad there, or was. A lot of guys go the Dodger games specifically to fight. Maybe it has changed. I don't mind a bit of mocking, but if you sit next to the right people it could be worse.

One game there was an argument in the aisle and a guy tossed a beer at a guy twice his size. He was punched and landed on the aisle seat, which happened to be where my 7 year old nephew was sitting. The big guy was landing blows while the back of the guys head was hitting my nephew's face. A few of us tried to break it up but others jumped in the fight. I got decked in the jaw (didn't feel it til a few minutes later) and a few other bystanders were hit as well. My nephew had a bloody nose. No one from the Dodgers organization cared to check. We left. Maybe I'm being oversensitive and a 7 year old getting pummeled is nbd, but a 'are you okay' from even an usher would have been nice. That was a Dodgers Padres game, and the last time we went to a game there, circa 2009.

They just changed the rules. All the big names are planning for attempts next year. You're not a very patient guy, are you?
