It could well be a third brand.
It looks like Jamis introduced the two road bikes, Quest and Eclipse in 1988.
Based on the horizontal dropouts, braze-ons, and I'm not seeing seat tube water bottle bosses...
It could be a late 80's bike. Probably not 90's. Plus, at some point in the 90's, Jamis went to welded frames.
It could well be a unique bike, although it looks like about a 62cm which is pretty big

I wish there were some better photos of the seat stay and fork crown, and tubing label. Head badge?

A crashed/trashed Co-Motion. When this was first listed close to a year ago I sent an offer for value of the parts thinking it might be fun to try to rehab the frame and the seller seemed offended. And there it sits.

I'm surprised there are no photos of the handlebars or seat.
I think the biggest variable is what is the condition of the rear derailleur and whether the rear derailleur hanger can have the bolt extracted without additional damage.
If that bolt can be easily extracted (vice grips?), then realign the hanger, replace the pivot bolt, two new tires, new bar tape, and a new chain, and the bike could be back on the road for $100.
It is hard to say if the bike is worth $550 + $60 shipping + $100 repairs ($710). Probably not quite, but I wouldn't lowball it. Somewhere around $350 to $400 + shipping might be a reasonable offer.

But, lab equipment can be used for a variety of things which are perfectly legal. Or, perhaps making a movie about a mad scientist with various tubes and colored bubbling liquids.
Bikes are okay, I guess.

Heavily worn, but I wouldn't call it trashed.

Nobel Prize-winning red 56cm. bike; $317obo! - $317 (Carrboro Chapel Hill)
The person who buys this might be 5' 8" to 6' 1", have a 30" to 33" inseam, and an appreciation of the best of world literature. This bike is quick, yet comfy, red, and friendly despite it's exalted status as a Nobellist in literature('98). $317, more or less, depending on the level of irritation this little bike-selling adventure engenders. Must sell by 2019 or '20; stupid replies ignored, smart-funny gratefully and promptly responded to...I go riding now!

This was the ad pic from "offerup" At first, I thought it was just this way from storage. Apparently that's how he rode it. I did buy a nice bike for practically nothing though
