ISO Made in Taiwan mid-level Bianchi frameset
Hi folks,
I was given a Specialized Allez with a damaged frame. It was equipped with a weathered, but functional Campagnolo Stratos componets. Since this group doesn’t have the prestige of the other Campy stuff, I thought it would be an interesting project to build with a Bianchi branded frame. Prefer a 55cm size, but will consider 54 - 56.
I’m not looking for anything exotic, just one in decent shape as a regular rider in my stable.
For trade; a Cinelli 66-40 bars with 125mm stem, Mafac Racer brake set with Diacompe road levers, Stronglight 49 crankset, a Shimano tri-color brake set plus other vintage stuff. Just ask. If you would like pictures, send me your email address.
Happy New Year,
Van

ISO 1 set of either Raleigh 501, Atom or Lyotard pedals.
...or better yet, a set of dust caps for Raleigh 501.
Will trade, what do you need that I may have.

Hi all. Been looking for a certain kind of bar plug/end/cap. Basically the basic plastic cap, like the chrome ones that come with a lot of tape nowadays, but yellow plastic. I've seen them packaged with off-brand bike ribbon, like the vinyl/leather look perforated tape, but they're all out of stock in yellow everywhere I've seen. I think they came with certain benotto/3ttt tapes as well. Anybody got any layin around? Thanks!
Are these the bar ends you seek?

ISO Bontrager Race Lite 26" 7-speed rear MTB wheel
...to round out my Nishiki Alien. I got a front wheel at the local bike co-op to cure the cross-4 spoke creaking, and a matching rear would look great and relieve my OCD
I know it's a long shot 😁

ISO a new home,
I recently had the Box 'O Crap in the shop, and this would not fit into it. After offering it there to players of the game and no takers, this hub needs a new home. As always PM me and first come first to get it. Smiles, MH
Update this hub has left the building. Smiles, MH

ISO 26.4 Shimano 600 crown race
Mad Honk nice hub, looks like Record or Chorus 8 speed. The Campy hoarder in me tingles but I have no use for it right now. Also, a belated thank you for the many months ago offer of the Pista pump but I didn’t notice at the time and I recently got a good deal on a like new Pista Plus!
So, I’m in need of the crown race noted above. Have a 27.0 for trade. I’ve never done a crown race swap before, so assume it’s a simple as this, but educate me otherwise, if needed. Barring the crown race, I’d need a similar low stack height English thread headset for my Merckx Pro build. Barring that a Merckx fork with a longer steerer!

Legs,
I have one here but it is gonna need a shave to remove the dimples in it. Ii am going to ty to work on it today. And then fight with a SR rear hub. The front that was sent with it as a (pair) had been loaded with Phil Wood green grease, and then packed with 3/8" bearings. It took a bit of time to clean it up and put the right bearings in it. But I am planning on a wheel build for one of my bikes, so it was just another project in the que for me. Smiles, MH

Which Shimano 600 crown race? The loose/caged bearing ones are different than the cartridge bearing ones...

@Mad Honk thanks for checking. No rush, this is a slow paced project. Took me 3 months to get to the install the fork step.

Legs,
The one here is from another member who asked me to recondition it for him. I just sent him another race as I thought it would require taking about .0010" off the surface. And I was right. I took about that much off and I can still see a bit of pitting at 16X magnification. To the naked eye it is passable, and will get you along for a while. I don't have an outer race worth a tinkers dime, so I can't test for perfect smoothness. You will need to find the rubber seal that fits it. PM me with the info, and the pics are here:

Gitane Gran Tourisme
I'm not sure if this belongs in this thread, but since I am looking for a trade for parts. I'll post it here. If it should go in the for sale section, I can repost there.
I have a Gitane Gran Tourisme frame 57cm CTT guessing from '72 with a lot of the original parts that I am looking to trade for some early to mid 70's Campy Record 700c wheels sets (5 or 6 speed) / Chain rings / Rear Derailleur etc. I'd prefer SF Bay Area to minimize shipping on both sides. It might be a stretch to find a match that makes sense. If it doesn't, I'll try to do a sell and then buy what I'm looking for
See pictures for details:
Frame
Campy Headset (has some indexing, doesn't seem too bad, but I haven't taken it apart)
Campy Bottom bracket cups (French, no spindle, bearings)
Campy Front Derailleur
Suntour Rear Derailleur
Campy seatpost
Mavac Racer Brakes
Some assorted clamps
New Velocals stickers (I was going to re-paint or re-decal. Figured I should leave that option to the new owner)
Optional: 27x 1 1/4 wheels (Campy high flange, off brand skewers, hookless Wienmann rims (with Mavic stickers (it was spec'd as Mavic, I assume the factory ran out Mavic wheels) with fairly new Gatorskins and a NOS French threaded Regina freewheel (threaded on, but never used).

Seeking Suntour Sprint and Superbe headset
Hi,
Recently purchased a near mint set of wheels from France on ebay.
Got them for a fair price and this was what I received:
Sprint front hub damage
Anyways, it's seized (no packing materials) and I'm now looking for a replacement hub.
36 Hole.
I'm also looking for a Suntour Superbe Pro headset with JIS thread.

Alas, I got two sets of black and a set of green. I have some pale purple/lavender ones too but I can't find them. I ordered a set from Germany last week that's supposed to have those inside style plugs, but theres a possibility they could arrive with the outside caps(they had multiple sets; I messaged them in advance about the plugs, so we'll see). If they do, I'd totally be willing to trade. By the way, the bar tape you pictured, is it the thick stuff with the perforations? I've never even seen it wrapped before, only in the package. Like a weird cross between celo tape and bike ribbon. So cool
