The most disgusting commercials of late are the new ones for toilet paper. Several of them get pretty graphic, or have images of bears pooping in the woods.

He's good people.

He helped us out when we were getting stuff together to start the wes team and had us down to train in his den every now and then. He coached me for a bit.

I wouldn't say "friend" but I certainly respect him on and off the bike. I haven't had a beer or a meal or even a long informal off-the-bike discussion with him.

He and his guys do feature in the Rent race clips - they're truly very strong.

He's also a slick rider, knows a lot about subtle tactics. It's fun watching him do stuff, even if I'm the one that gets shelled because of it (he worked me over good one week and I was off the back in 8 laps).

He also coaches a lot of people in the area including a woman that won a number of medals on the track at the 2011 Nationals and Worlds (Masters).

My departments office manager quit today. My department has now been through 9 different office managers in 8 years. Most were complete and total disasters. This one was quite good, but we ran her off; she's leaving for a better working arrangement and not better money.

The worst part is it was my wife that poached her from us.

I wish her well, she's leaving huge shoes to be filled.

Turmoil at work is always fun. Our little company is divided into two factions right now. One that is very pro status quo and one that wants to make radical changes to some of our business practices for the benefit of our clients and bottom line. All hands meeting tomorrow. It should be fun.

Ah, interesting. The team of my undergrad institution (sadly, i was never a member of it) had him come to campus to speak
