Only about 5-6 days. Not at all long enough.

If it's ever been on your bucket list ... go!

I did something for the first time recently ... rode my age (miles and years ... I'm a Yank). The special treat was that much of the ride was along my old commute route along the beach. It was awesome. Some photos:

This is pretty much what my commute looked like. Nice bike path (albeit with a lot of sand sometimes), typically sunny.

Rode through Santa Monica and up Mandeville. Back through Venice, and to Playa Del Rey .... home of The Shack and the Shackburger. In my surfing days, we loved this place.

The Shackburger still rocks. And I was wondering why it is so hard to lose weight as I age.

Back home with the peeps. I actually came up short 0.12 miles, but close enough!

OK, it's getting late in the season here in Massachusetts ... but I had to get out for a spin ... here's Salt Island, off Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester (33 deg F). On a comfortable 1971 Raleigh Sports.

Delmarva Peninsula has been having some chilly but very pretty days recently.

Delmarvalous!

Poprad On The Bay

Chilly but really nice morning.
I had a 60 mile ride, slow pace and many stops. Headed out at 8:30 with 42 degrees and a rather cool, but light breeze. Home at 4:00, once the sun starts to get low to the horizon, it gets to feeling chilly in a hurry. It was 58 at 2:30, 48 at the finish, I was quite chilled with cold hands. A fine way to spend the day,12/5/23.
