I generally ride between 10000 and 12000 depending on how much time I have off due to injury or illness. In the harder portion of the year, usually january to september, where i am actively training, racing or undertaking my chosen events I'll be doing 15 hour weeks on my on weeks and still around 8-10 in my rest week. Usually gets me around 500 hours plus by the end of the year. Last year was 11000 miles and around 550 hours with 450000ft climbing.
To get my 15 hours I generally ride 2-3 hours a couple of days in the week which is a mix of interval sessions and chain gangs, normally Tuesdays and thursdays, I like to show up fatigued and see how i manage. The other days in the week are 1-2 hour intervals or easy sessions. I then normally stick a 4-6 hour beasting in on a sunday. It all adds up and once the motivation to train in an evening is there I'm set.
