The workload is tremendous, and really makes me realize how in over my head I was last winter. I just hope it pays off.

riding every day let me carry a ctl over 100, usually 110-115 for about 2 years straight. once you get there, if you're able to put some work in each day, it's not that bad. Don't drink, do eat well, prioritize sleep and soon enough people will say you have good genetics and that they could never get where you are.

Ended the year with a whimper but I'm back on track. I'm up 15 lbs and hoping to drop weight in time for UCLA RR in February. 5k of climbing in 35 miles, so yeah, every pound counts.

Don't jump right into monster volume weeks this time, ramp it up and make it sustainable! Glad to hear you're back riding, and best of luck.

it's good advice. first stage of training is training to handle the training.

Change a flat

Good workout. I'm hungry, but not too toasted.

Thanks guys! I tend to have an obsessive attitude towards my hobbies and probably take it more serious than I should. I've been playing some video games lately so that is keeping me from going HAM on the bike.

The weather is keeping me honest as well. I don't have the constitution to ride in rain and sub freezing weather!
