I blame a combination of poor technique, sub-par cookware and infomercials for the boom in task-specific kitchen gadgets. Just give me a good knife or two and a few good pots/pans, I can do without the clutter from most of the other stuff.

The egg cooker I have looks like it is from the 80's so I doubt it is from an infomercial. The best thing about it is that it can be turned on while I'm getting ready for work then be ready when it's time for me to walk out the door.

What is your saddle to bar drop going to be now, VG?
I have been looking at SA's bikes quite a bit as he seems to have them very purpose driven. The 5 1/2" drop looks drastically larger than the 4 1/2" I have mine maxed out at. I think I like the slightly less stretched out and upright position I have but riding into 40+ gusts on a daily basis could be improved by going longer and deeper with my bar. I am seriously considering a quill stem adapter and a 130mm -17 degree stem for shoulder season riding.

Why do I go back and forth as you as a poster?
Largely it's a function of your writing. You tend to use byzantine sentence constructions that come across oddly and are often difficult to understand. But now and then you post something that is clear and on point.

I apologize in advance for far exceeding the one-line (sometimes one-word) average of Addiction.
Last month a friend of mine complained that she kept getting flats. I had her drop her bike off, did a thorough inspection of the rims, tires and tubes, gave it a quick tune-up, and then gave it back to her, mentioning that she should be riding between 90 - 100 psi.
Yesterday, we had our first opportunity to ride together. I rode to her house and when I arrived, asked if she had enough air in the tires. Her response was "Yep! Plenty! They're still full from when you pumped 'em up!" She even did the old thumb-squeeze on the tube and declared them hard...to which I responded "That's because you're pushing the tire all the way to the rim!". I put on the floor pump, which read "20" in each tire, and got them up to pressure for her. Surprisingly...no flats on the ride!
As an aside, my ride was 41 miles but because I rode 25 of it with her, most of it at a much slower pace than normal, I was able to fly on the final 8 miles after dropping her off. Typically the last 8 of that ride is when I suffer the most.
