You said it kept running after you turned it off? Could be backfeeding somewhere but might be the BCM. Good luck, if you had a good scan tool it might help.
Saw a Camaro with the 3.4 v6 where someone installed a heavy duty clutch and the extra force would wear out the thrust bearing on the crankshaft. Coming to a stop the engine would stall because the crank would move so far forward it would lose the crank sensor signal. I learned something that day.

Still sounds like a BCM but I really can't help from here, if I was still at the job I could talk to the guy who do that stuff all day. One thing I do sometimes is test the voltage on different fuses related to the circuits in question. If you get low voltage on a fuse that could be a clue, like 8 or 9 volts and the others are 12. Try to find grounds and make sure they're good.

I'm probably the oldest guy here except for Zona Tandem who has not been heard from for a while.This being so, I've likely experienced more aches and pains than anyone else here based on length of service and have devised solutions that may work for you. I've found in the case of my poor back, that the chiropractor does some manipulation and I can feel vertebrae pop back into place and discomfort disappear altogether of diminish. I reasoned that my neck is prone to the same issue.
THE CURE
Roll neck slowly left. Try not to break anything by rushing it. Then roll slowly to right. Repete a few times. Then reach to the back of the neck and you should feel one vertebrae that seems to be protruding. Push it around from left to right a few time and you should feel it pop back into place.
I do some neck exercises almost daily to maintain strength in the effected muscles and this helps minimize recurrence.

It occurs to me this is a hard muscle to "rest." Even when I lay down it doesn't seem completely relaxed.

A bundle of nerves runs down inside vertebrae. If the vertebrae is displaced, some of those nerves get pinched. Sometimes the pinched nerve may effect an arm of something well removed from the pinched area.

OK one more car story. Had a truck that wouldn't start, had spark, injector pulse, fuel pressure and would almost fire up but as soon as it seemed like it was going to run it would peter out. 7.4 v8, high miles and it almost sounded like it was flooded. Crank sensor rpm seemed strange. Turned out the crankshaft was cracked but you could pry on the balancer and it wouldn't budge. Took a chance and pulled the balancer off and threaded a long bolt into the crank and when I leaned on the bolt, I could see the crank was broken. Was happy to find that.

I'm guessing they're compressions.
I'm no doctor but I'm going with muscle. I'm going to try stretches/rolls to see if it helps.
Never seen one. Hard pass if they're fat. Velo Vol only rolls with thin ones.
