Photobucket isn't working for forum images. I recommend Imgur.

I finally found a set of mudguards that I actually like for my CrossTrail. I fitted a different set of SKS mudguards to my fatbike recently and was so impressed with them that I sought another set of SKS mudguards for my hybrid. The front mudguard is the SKS X-Board Downtube Mudguard - Dark Black and the rear is the SKS X-Blade Rear 26-27.5" Rear Mudguard - Dark Black. The Dark Black designation signifies that the softer rear edge trim isn't the usual grey colour but is black. Fitting took around 5 minutes for both.
Easily removable so may not be ideal for those who worry about theft, but perfect for my needs.

Laid my bike to rest today.
No I didn't euthanise it,it is in the house for maintenance/storage.
First off clean and lube the drive chain then off with the wheels for a thorough cleaning.
Then wipe down the frame and polish the chrome.
Don't tell my bike but it is going to get an especially good cleaning because
after the holidays I am going to try and trade it in for a very nice Cannondale XFR3.

Got a few accessories for XMas and found the time to install them. A set of Rainrunner 360 fenders, a tool kit and a pair of Marathon Plus tires. These were a pain to put on the rim! Pinched a couple of tubes in the process...

Nothing; absolutely nothing.
Bike is hibernating for the moment; it's currently -19C, -28C with windchill, and snowing lightly. We have approx. 40cms on the ground, w/more to come.
Bike is dry, warm, and cozy in its burrow. Maintenance can wait until I'm damned good and ready.

Some people love biking in the cold. I am not one of those people.
More power to them though!
I used this time to add graphics to my ride...

Picked it up at the LBS and unloaded it out of the Jeep. Put my first mile on it.

Took it for another run today close to the house. Yesterday, I ordered the Topeak deFender TX set, Planet bike's bottle cages in matte black, and Topeak super tourist rear rack for disc brakes. Soon to add a basic cycling computer, the MTX EXP trunk bag, and a Lezyne floor Drive HPG pump.

The toy truck delivered about 30 minutes after today's ride. Topeak deFender set, and rear rack, Planet bike flat gray bottle cages. Look freaking awesome!

Had the new tires installed (the old ones were showing threads at the sidewalls) and removed the remaining fender.
