Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I had to throw in a couple in-line barrel adjusters since removing the original brake levers. Braking doesnt seem to be effected.

Well done! Drop bar rigid MTB is my jam.

I've been commuting on this beast:

so if a 62cm seat tube but 56cm tt could work for you...just throwing that out there. im sort of like all legs attached to shoulders so this frame works fine for me.
I really like the looks of those older Centurions but I don't think that TT will workout. I do have a long torso an d long arms. Perhaps if the head tube is huge. Can you provide a measurement?

wasn't sure if headtubes are typically measured center to center or bottom to top...
but bottom of head tube to top is 20.5 cm
ctc is hard to measure but its like 15

yah if you are long armed not sure how the 56cm tt would be, might be OK with a setback seatpost and a longish stem

The thing is I already use set back posts and 130 stems on bikes with long top tubes but the lack of reach can be compensated for with a high handle bar. Yours is already high with a longish stem. IDK

You could look for a centurion ironman. They are well made, cheap, have horizontal dropouts, nice tubing, and square geometry. Perfect for those with long torsos.

I bought one for my little brother a while back and gave him my other Turbo. I havent seen any around here in my size. Anyway I dont want a racing frame to replace the Fuji, which is really laid back.

Now with all wheel drive... or... how to make winter my beeyatch.

24 speed in the rear with a stump pulling low, the hub motor is set up more for low speed torque than top speed.

My god, that bike is awesome...

Haven't posted here in a while. Let's see, the CAAD10 frame bent in the rear stay, GG aluminum.

Built up another bike, mostly comprised of carbon and SRAM rival group.

A super fast bike that I love riding.

Now I just need to restore my fixed gear status. In the works is a purple kilo TT with a pair of tektros.

This is the only 25" World Voyageur (1973) known to exist. I bought it in Chicago and assume it was a special request by a Schwinn employee. Shown here with some non-original parts, but I have the OEM stuff.
