Finally some cooler weather!!! Great commute today, ride home was in the mid 50s and tailwinds most of the way, no complaints here.
P.s. jdmitch-sorry to hear about your job man, good luck with your search for a new one, I've got fingers crossed you find one that's commutable.

First time it rained to & from work since I don't know when. Usual 20 mph wind here on the cape, gusts to 40+ were a nice touch. Toes got damp but not really wet.
At work went out in the company car. Someone left the driver side window open about 1/4". Got wetter driving that than to & from work on the bike.

Easy ride in, but a tad chilly at 32 F (0 C). Today, they are prediciting the 60s F ( upper teens C)
this afternoon, so it should be a nice ride home in the sun. These are days when I carry chilly gear
and warm weather gear, and I always forget something. On Friday, 16 Oct this area set a record for
the coldest Oct 16 in a 138 years of record keeping, but no one had to tell me that.

Hate to rub it in, but a beautiful 72 at 5:00 this morning. Although, it's going to be low 90's on the way home this afternoon.

Eggs Florentine. Two poached eggs, ham, spinach and hollandais sauce on two english

i love to rub it in! lol today was a beutifull day with 82 F temp, like all Puertorrican mornings! lol
you guys are my heros!
went out of the house with my new Marathon plus tires, and desided to ride the entire way to work, no boat ride for me today.
today i noticed how most drivers are pretty stressed, punching the accel from red light to next red light, guess many of them were pissed at the biker that passes them every time they stop lol!
went thru 2 parks, and the birds were singing, with a light breeze hitting my face....had to do more effort going against the wind, hopefully running against the wind will train me better.

Reading the history of the local Fore River Shipyard founded by Tom Watson.
The guy that answered Alexander Bells' first phone call.
Great story!!!
I digress, windy, low 40's. little bit on the raw side.

First frosty morning of the year! It was a wonderful 31 degrees F when I left for work at 6:25 this morning, had to break out the wool socks...nice ride in, I think I saw maybe 4 or 5 cars total.
Ride home was nice, 45 F and not a cloud in the sky

Passed a dead possum in the bike lane, and started to realize he'd only get more stuck in place as fall progresses into winter, so I went back and threw him into a ditch.

First ride in almost 10 days due to some out of town travel and work-related courses.
55 degrees F, and dark, with awesome thunderstorms (great light show on the way in). Crossed thru a few brief downpours of cold rain but most of the ride was light drizzle.
I saw 2 other bike commuters instead of the usual 8-10 in summertime.
Looks like more thunder and lighting for the ride home in advance of a cold front (though not as cold as a couple of weeks ago).

I'm heading in early (pre-dawn) all week b/c I have a friend in town, and I want to maximize my time with him.
Had great ride with the road all to my self. Thoroughly enjoyed watching my new PB Blaze Superflash mode reflect off of signs 2000ft away. Nice.

Good ride this morning, the streets were wet from the night rain and large snowflakes.
I rode the 8 mile route this morning.

nice ride in. almost no headwind. pretty good tailwind coming home (30km/hr according to the weather network). took advantage of it and opted for the long way home around the bay.
suffered last week with the unseasonably cold temps. soothed myself over the w/end with a little retail therapy. bought winter cycling shoes, lobster gloves and a neoprene face mask. not cheap. maybe i guaranteed us a warm winter....

Nice ride today. Cool Fall morning felt great. Started raining just as I was pulling up to the office and it cleared out for the afternoon journey home.
