Bumping my own thread here because I'm still in search of a set of workable Mafac Racer or Competition brake calipers. Skip Montanaro has kindly come forward with a set of calipers that are in good shape, but lack what Mafac calls the eyebolt assemblies that hold the pads. As it happens, I have four Mafac eyebolts, but they lack the special aluminum washers and nuts needed. Does anyone have a set of nuts and washers? If so, I'd be all set, but they're always the first parts to get lost. I think the odds are better for finding a complete set of brake calipers. I would be happy with either. As noted above, I have trade goods.

As a machinist, I would only make such things for myself. I would want more money than what he charges in order to make them for someone else. I guess what I'm trying to say is, looks like a decent deal.

Hoping to find one of these SRAM 9-speed shifters (the kind with the indicator in the grip) in a bit of a hurry. Might need to use my '80 Raleigh Sports in a video where the 9-speed shifter indicator must be visible.

Do you need a SRAM compatible one, or a Shimano compatible model? Picture shows an X prefix model, that being SRAM compatible. They did make both though.

SIDEBAR: way back there was a guy who posted about his bike project but I noticed he had a Vintage Ford Falcon in his garage and mentioned I had a set of hubcaps...but then could not locate them. Well today I found those but now cannot find the guy with the Falcon! Any help with memory enhancement will be ALSO appreciated, and I took a picture of the caps this time!

Sad to say I did not find the bag of Exage parts I was searching for today so no bare spring. However I did find a complete 105 caliper with spring and all the trimmings, say "BR 1050, max 49-39mm" on the back of the arm. LMK if this is of interest.

To cover myself I ended up ordering another set of Exage brakes for a reasonable price and will either use the entire caliper or will just remove the spring and use it on the current set. This will still leave me one spring short but I'm in no hurry and am fairly confident I will find one eventually on a scrapper bike, at a bike swap, or at a co-op. Perhaps I will find someone here on BF who has one. I actually have a set of 105's in waiting for another project in the queue but appreciate the offer nevertheless.
Good luck with the Falcon hubcaps, BTW!

Can you be more specific? I have a (best guess 1972) Super Course on local CL that has an incomplete HS that I'm sure I could pop the crown race off of the fork and no potential customer will care, but is this (24tpi) the one you're looking for? AND should mention I have not cleaned the old grease off it so could be in good shape or BAD.

Velocity Aerohead 32 Hole
My Aerohead wheelset had been hanging for a few years with a split in the brake track of the front rim. I My original Australian OC Aerohead in the rear was replaced under warranty with a symmetric USA made rim and has a great deal of life left in it. So I have half a wheelset. I have the hub and spokes waiting for an Aerohead to pop up but it's not happening.
Here is my proposal: If anyone has 1/2 an Aerohead wheelset as I do, and would like my 32 hole silver Aerohead, they can have it for the cost of shipping to put their wheelset back in service. OR, they can send me their good rim for the cost of shipping. I'm happy either way as long as my rim ends up on a bike.
