Funny you should mention that, I thought about it but I'm afraid that he wouldn't get the point.

I wasn't going to bring it up TMI perhaps but ... this cat has a weird fascination with the toilet and will reach up standing with his front paws on the rim looking in, at a bad time. He has sometimes actually climbed into the bowl, making it impossible to avoid him. He doesn't seem to mind being splashed, so maybe he thinks it's OK.

He also "goes catnip" on workout clothes. I think, aside from being OCD about things he's got a scent fetish of some sort.

One's mouth is usually dirtier than their hair.
Just a gentle warm dish washer cycle will fix your issue.

One's mouth is not dirtier than their toilet, is the more important point. Clean whatever you want in your dishwasher, but I'll pass on sweat-soaked hats and cat pee.
