30+ miles, just under 2K' climbing thru the foothills of eastern Ventura County, Simi Valley and Moorpark, CA. Normal weekend club ride, but 4 steelies showed up. A modern, but old school, Battaglin chromovelato, a new build but vintage Tommassini, a Jamis hybrid, and me on the '73 Super Course. Not bad, 4 out of 9 riders on steel. Great day, chilly (for us) 48° start, but warmed up to low 70s, not much wind. Good times!

New build Tomnasini, first time out.

Battaglin and Tommasini, both with Campy Chorus drivetrain.

My scrap pile rescue Super Course.

Slightspeed I really like your Tommasini, that build and the Campag group are the bee's knees.

Thanks, but the Tommasini isn't mine, mine is the dark green Super Course. The Tommasini is stunning, though. I'll tell my friend, Edwin, who just built it.

Used my dropbar MIELE MTB to ride the snowy side-streets to a department store this morning in order to buy ten 80 liters totes and lids. Got them fastened to the rear rack by using four toe-straps and lots of 48" long Arno straps (like extra-ling toe-straps) and then stopped for breakfast and after than rode home.

Cheers

43 miles on the Heron today including 3900 feet of climbing, 50 degrees today but the wind made it feel a little colder. This is Plank Road in between North Garden and Batesville, VA. If any of you follow pro racing, Ben King, currently with I think Dimension Data, is from North Garden. A few years back I came across him stopped on the side of the road about 1/4 mile from here. Nice guy.

Got home and my younger son is waiting to go throw boomerang with me, so had to stretch out the bike legs to do some running. Most of the time was spent getting my boomerang out of one of the trees in the background.

@noglider and I rode a nice and long-overdue 22 miles through Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. At the park where the skyline photo was taken we tried each other's bikes which was a bit comical given our difference in leg lengths. But hey, we're Experienced Cyclists(TM).

@ascherer, since we each started at our homes and went to each other's, I also logged 22 miles, though I took the greenway home. I'm glad I did. I still haven't gotten sick of that route, and I had a tailwind. Not only that, ridewithgps informed me that I did my personal best on a segment along there. My Lemond is noticeably faster than my other bikes. I think I'll ride it to class tomorrow.

After spending half of last week in central CA and the other half in St. Petersburg, FL, I was back today in Boston for a 38-mile ride in temps that never got above freezing. Half my water bottle froze, but it was the lower half, so no problem. I was on the Lemond 650B.

Maiden voyage on the garage sale International. Twenty miles around the Willamette and back up the hill to Hillsdale. I guess you could say it was my first vintage ride since I retired my 85 CyclePro Skyline in 1990. Really nice ride, although it’s definitely not my bike yet. It was a rare sunny day, and yet I only managed a shady picture.

PNW has had quite a bit of rain lately, rode out to gawk at the mess.

A road and driveway

...and the neighbor

Cedar River is supposed to go straight, but recently decided to make a hard left

Nice 40-something-mile ride with about 12 others out to Mukilteo and back by the back roads (mostly). Up and down and up and down all day - which I handled surprisingly well with a low of 42/24. The group formed up just two miles from my place, so I was definitely the first one home and into the shower!

Temps were nice as long as we were in the sun. Since it didn't get above 45 degrees, it was in the 30s in the shade. Solution? Pedal harder

We never stopped once! Well, except to re-group at lights/stop signs, so I didn't get any pics, sorry

JacobLee it took me a second look to realize your wheels weren’t sunk down into black sand. Good looking bike. You and Gugie should get together for some Raleigh ogling.

70 miles yesterday, the Snoqualmie valley trail down to Carnation to survey the flooding down there

It wasn’t as bad as I expected near the old Carnation Dairy Farm

The red Barn Loop was under water but the road to Union Hill was high n dry so I took that to Redmond.

[url=https://flic.kr/p/2irukpH]

After lunch at Post Dock Brewing, I rode along the East Lake Sammamish trail to Issaquah. The recent rains have increased the lake levels dramatically.

[url=https://flic.kr/p/2irqChu]

I rode the Preston Trail and climbed up to Snoqualmie Ridge via the painfully steep Lake Alice Road and made my way back to North Bend on an empty tank. It sure felt good to finally have a day out in the sun didn't it droppedandlost Drillium Dude ?
It had been over 3 weeks since I’d been on the bike.

Thanks! Yeah, it’s a time capsule bike at the moment; as I found it except for the wheels and a thorough disassembly/reassembly, chain, pads, cables. Gugie seems to be the gravitational center for this stuff, so I do look forward to meeting him and checking out his setup.

Channelled my PNW friends today and took the fendered bike out on wet roads during a gap in the rain today. 18 miles without leaving the limits of my little town.

Rivanna River up high but no flooding here!

Nice! from the look of the steel roof, and trash cans neat and orderly out front, I'd say it's still being used?
Edit, my apologies, I just found metal roofs have been around for better than sixty years.
