I'll play. Bought the frame (and the rigid "Pepperoni" fork") in the early 90s, and it has gone through a few rebuilds since then. This is the latest incarnation.
At the moment, I have slicks and lights mounted and it serves in my night time club rides.

Varioius states of disrepair
I'm not very discriminating when it comes to old mtbs, if its a butted frame and cheap I'll get it. I have all but the red Univega Alpina Pro, but except for the 83 Stumpy which I bought new(shown with BOB,which I really don't like, and pool supplies, ) they are down to the frames and parts bin. Bianchi griz, Pug canyon express and urban express(nice duo), trek 830 antelope, diamondback as found(I like this color, sort of peachy). the Sierra is on loan to my 14yr old nephew built as city 7speed(pics to come). Some of the frames share wheels for pics. So, lots of fun projects ahead as time permits! Oh yeah, sorry for the cut off and nd side pics of the stumpy.

Thanks. Rude Rudy was built by the Italian manufacturer Verlicchi. Rider Dave Cullinan piloted his Verlicchi, a frame similar to this one, to the UCI Downhill world title in Bromont in 1992. It was the 1st full suspension bike to win a world title. Verlicchi supplied downhill frames to several brands: Iron Horse, Kona, Diamond Back, Batavus and more. They also built the quirky 'boom tube' hardtails for the Swiss company S-bike.
The Verlicchi downhill frame was developed in close cooperation with Marzocchi. Both companies had a background in motorcycles: Verlicchi with frames, Marzocchi as suspension specialist.

It's a '93½ -- '93 graphics, but '94 spec. 39cm frame size. All original, < 50 miles, have the OEM Ritchey Alphabite 1.95 tires with nubs still on them and the original MKS pedals.

'Rude Rudy' is not my first Verlicchi. I already have a Verlicchi and I covered many enjoyable miles with it. Here the proof:

I do not know whether it is 'that one', but I acquired it through Mp a couple weeks ago. Located near Rotterdam. I've taken a look, but I don't find one near The Hague.

Here's the Haro I have been working on. I might still install the red ano Race Face crank someday, but the Alivio FD and crank provides some super smooth shifts for the time being. After one ride through the apt. complex hills I can tell all the rave reviews on mtbr are true. One of the smoothest riding bikes I've ever ridden, it honestly feels like it has a rear suspension when riding off of curbs, etc. It climbs nicer than my newish P-1 all mountain, even with a 28T big rear gear. (Vs the 11-32 on the P-1)It's 3x8 right now, with a 42/32/22 front and 11-28 rear. It also weighs in about 3.5 pounds less than the P-1, which doesn't hurt in the climbing dept. I bet. It's 28.04 with the B.17. LOVE it, battle scars and all!,,,,BD
The Haro Escape. I have no idea what level of Escape it was. No indications on the frame other than a Kinesis decal. I built it from a bare frame.
