sportsbasement on bryant in sf were selling thickslicks for $15 as their cheapest tire. i bought 2 as backup tires. now i want to go back and make all my bikes run thickslick.

You can with the right conditions which aren't that hard to get; I've seen NOS conti's with ancient decals that look just as new... nonetheless rubber formulas are on our side nowadays.
