Clip less pedals?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If they were Forte then you got them at Performance and could have got a refund on your money with no questions asked. So if it was money wasted then it was your fault. Spending a lot of money for your first set is not a good idea. Your first anything in cycling is a roll of the dice. The less money you gamble with the better.

It is my fault that the pedals perform poorly ? Objectively comparing them against 105 pedals it's night and day difference. It's a waste of money because it's time/effort wasted, not even counting falling of the bike and possibility of damaging something in the process. I'll agree to disagree with you on that, you get what you pay for and if you want to waste time/effort in the long run getting good pedals go ahead

I have some VP-163 spd road pedals you can get dirt cheap and if you like spd's they're 100% fine. Not saying every pedal is great but you aren't totally correct. I've had many different pedals including MTB and I can't say I've had any properly adjusted that made me fall off my bike. That's odd but mmmkay.
