Bikewagon is selling a bunch of these 7-speed 12-21 "L" cassettes for $19.99 + free shipping. I figured what the hey and bought one. The "RK" code dates it to late 1993:
A pair of $9 700x28C Michelin Dynamic Classics. No, they're not extralight or super-supple, but feel well-made:
I don't have immediate plans for either of these but I couldn't say no for the price!

Nice! They look the part too. I regularly come across serious-looking bikes shod with them at C&V events - like La Savoureuse last week - so they can't be bad. And for €7.58 that's a really good deal. I don't think I can even get a 622mm tire for that price, come to think of it ...

A back-up sump pump. We had 5" of rain about 3 weeks ago, 7" of rain a week and a half ago, and an inch on Tuesday. My sump pump has been running almost constantly. Thankfully it is still chugging along, but i am a belt and suspenders guy when it comes to water in the basement.

I have a TS-2.2, older model. I think I need to recenter the calipers, especially before I rebuild the Crescent wheels.

I've found them very hard to center. Maybe the later models have fixed that. I live with mine a little off center and either flip my wheel around to check or use a dishing tool or both.

I was supposed to receive a couple of freewheel tools and some bearings via Amazon one-day delivery Friday, but nope. No explanation. Now they're saying maybe by Sept 13. First time that's happened.
So, no riding the Centurion Ironman until then. I noticed some ticking noise in the rear hub after getting caught in a deluge for 10 miles last weekend. Sounds like the ball bearings ticking against each other from inadequate grease.
I suppose I could try to clean and repack the bearings from the opposite side but I've been planning to swap out the original 13-24 Suntour freewheel for a 13-25 SunRace just to see if the slightly larger cog helps on hills. If not I'll try a 28 next.

Yeah, from what I've gathered, even if you do center the calipers for one hub width, they may not be correct if you open or close the arms for another hub width. I've just always flipped the wheel periodically to check.
