I have 3 road bikes that I rotate on my weekly rides. Gianni Motta Italian tri-color, 96 Time Helix carbon fiber, and my favorite, a 97 LeMond Maillot Jaune OCLV with 98% factory equipment. SWEET ride.

I know this is a road bike thread but hey, my new custom will mostly be ridden on roads even though it's a tourer and not a racer.
100% custom, steel & lugs and the builder-Bob Brown-just completed painting it yesterday... I should be on it for my first ride late next week!! Very excited to have my dream bike (started the whole process 6 months ago) and very impressed watching a true artisan do his thing.

Thanks. I only put about 60 miles on this thing, but I love it so far. I went with a full carbon Chorus kit, so I'm still getting used to Campy after a couple of years on Shimano. The bike is very smooth but stiff, and my only problem is the constant worry about road debris; I don't want to chip the clear coat yet.

Thanks,
I think I got Didi's picture from a cycling website, but I'm not sure. You can save a copy right from here though. I'm still used to my titanium frame, so this new bike is a totally different experience.
Cheers

I'm like a little school girl!! This will be my first self-assemble. I pieced together the bits a la Rad/55 and kept the costs WAY down.
Frame: 2003 55cm Cannondale Caad7
Cranks: Hollowgram
Fork: Full carbon Time
Shifters: Ultegra 6510
brakes: Ultegra 6500
F&R Der.: Ultegra (double)
Bars: Modolo Tau
Stem: Ritchey Pro
Chain: Wipperman Nickel plated
Pedals: Look A5.1
Saddle: Fizik Pave
Wheels: Mavic Open Pro with 105 hubs
Tires: Armadillos (training), Panaracer Stradius Pros (other)
Seatpost: Thomson setback
I had the wheels, tires, seatpost, and saddle from a previous bike. Everything else is new (save for the frame which is lightly used and clean).
Total cost of the new bits: $1024
Giddy!! I'll post pics of the build when I'm done
