Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm happy and a tad embarrassed to report that I've resolved my sweat issue on my ride today. Happy because I had a wonderful 40 mile ride on a sunny day in the mid 80's (F) and had no sweat on my glasses and no headache from helmet issues.

The solution? Simply wear and tie my headband on the outside if my helmet straps!

I clearly haven't been thinking outside-the-box (or in this case, outside-the-helmet) until today. My brain was stuck with thinking that because most anti-sweat devices like cycling caps are warn under a helmet, my sweatbands should be too. Not that this simple solution needs pictures, but here's pictures...

Sweatband tied between helmet and glasses... soakin' up all sorts of sweat!

Sweat band tied over helmet's rear adjustment dial.
