Bay Area of FL, $100 OBO for this Schwinn Tempo that looks like someone wrapped it with Ciclo Linea tape and didn't even ride it enough to wear through the first taping. I always like bikes with seat packs, I've found many jewel in them.

$100 for a almost unused 105 7 speed kit? Not a bad deal.

Nice job on finding the balance point for the bar "stand." How long did that take to do?
Not my bike, but thank you for the background on Preludes. I guess I still haven't developed the knack of spotting what is and what isn't a bent fork.

That's not the problem. You notice two things immediately. First is the direct inch-gearing on the things; if you have a 60-inch front wheel you have a 60 gear, 72 = 72, and so on, with no way to shift because there's nothing to shift to. The second thing you notice is where the steering articulation occurs; right in front of your crotch. And if you've never ridden a fixie (as I had not) you'll notice the third thing when you try to coast.

Seriously! I'm surprised it's a weekend and it's still available, hours later. Pretty sure this was one of the Columbus Tenax tubed years too.

Looks like intentional misspelling which together with the skimpy description makes it very suspicious. Something that one would do so a real owner does not find it by doing a CL or Google search.

Anyone near PDX may want to strongly consider this. While I'm generally against parting out bikes, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't picked over a couple of these mid-70s tank-ish 1040 MB touring frames.

At $75 on this auction you get: Stronglight 49D crankset (resells w/o caps for $60-80), Stronlight P3 or V4 headset (I forget which OTOH), Stronglight 8-side BB with 118 spindle, a nice set of MAFAC half-hooded locking levers (even though the lock can be futzy), Suntour CompeV/VGT drivetrain with ratcheting levers, Atom/Normandy high flange wheelset with 27" Weinmann alloys, Pivo alloy stem usually with Pivo alloy bars. It's virtually everything (minus derailleurs) I'd want on one of my bikes. It's hit or miss whether you get 460D or 136R pedals. And you can always clean up the frame, toss on a headset and BB then resell the frame for a project.

Anyway, that said, if you're around Portland... ==> https://www.ebay.com/itm/142681807859

But I'd also be lying if I said I hadn't saved a few, they're ultimately worth it if it's your size. Here's the last one I bought for $25 and traded a friend for his $125 Trek after I showed him how to tear down and build back up a bike. His Moto LC followed this overhaul.

I guess it's a hi-ten frame, but still pretty with the chromed fork crown and socks (plus it's orange).
